Bama has just caught a punt on its own 42. The score stands at Georgia 14 Bama 6. Bama has 116 yards passing and 100 yards rushing. We have put together two drives all game, one for 42 yards after a Georgia turnover that stalled on the three. One for 51 yards that resulted in a 36 yard Bama field goal. We are converting 37% on 3rd down. We have no turnovers.

The defense has played well. Georgia scored on a 46 yard drive after a nice punt return and an 67 yard TD pass when the corner slipped and fell. They have only 76 rushing yards and 114 yards passing yards total.

Question.

Who does Saban put in at quarterback? Not who would you put in. The question is, who would Coach Saban put in in your opinion under this exact scenario?

If Tua hadn't been in by that point, he wouldn't come in.

Why the hell does it have to be 13:54? Why not just the start of the 4th?

In that scenario you’d see JK Scott trot out there and catch them off guard by lining up at qb from the shotgun formation, hand it off to Harris who tosses it back to JK (flea flicker) and JK punts it and pins them deep in their own territory at the 1. They’d never expect such a ballsy play and the momentum shift would be so great that we go on to win 42-14 and JK Scott goes on to become known as the best Bama punter to line up at QB in a title game!
