I don’t care what anyone says, when it was all said and done, I would take the 2011 team over anyone.

Don't think that defense would hold up against these new offenses.

The 16 defense is probably the best against the newer offenses.

That’s possible, but one thing I noticed about this defense was the superb fundamentals. Flying to the ball, great chemistry and communication, and sound tackling and angles.

Well thankfully for us the 2011 defense was built to hold up against 2011 offenses, and they were one of the best I've ever seen.

Is that Kenny Stabler walking out with them? I hope it is

That team wasn't even better than the 2012 team.

Definitely agree on that

The 2012 team had a better offense (had Cooper and a better AJ) and even defense (faced far better competition then the ‘11 and still had the no.1 D in CFB).

The 2011 D faced 0 top 10 (S&P ratings) offenses and just 3 top 50 offenses. The 2012 D faced 3 top 10 and 9 top 50 offenses. Yet the 2012 team gave up just 2.7 ppg more which was still easily the best in the nation. I honestly have no idea why this is such controversial opinion every time it’s brought up.

Wondered if anyone was going to go there. Great pic though. Four of my favorites.

I don't know about anybody else, but I kinda miss those fat, slow LBs

LBs and DBs did not miss an open field tackle. Something we sorely missed this year.

The hateful bunch. They would’ve fared just fine against today’s offenses. Two of those guys still are faring just fine against today’s offenses

The most physical defense I've ever seen.

I want to point out that between all four players (minus Trent really) there are seven SB appearances (four for Dont'a) and four SB wins.

Hell of a group.
