I'm not sure at least some of that ire wasn't for Daboll. We come out in the 2nd half with Tua at the controls and it's like the stupid sumbitch forgot we had running backs until Saban "gently" reminded him. We're down by 13 and we're running Texas Tech's offense out there. No wonder he was pissed.

Saban is tougher on players/QBs whom he has a more personal connection with eg AJ McCarron. Saban is going to go crazy on Tua often, but will be the first guy to hug him after a victory. I've heard Saban speak glowingly of Tua's personality in a press conference before talking about how kind and well-mannered he is.

I think Saban is closer to Tua than any QB aside from AJ

McCarron had a solid three years of arse chewings from Saban before he earned his respect. Comes with the territory. Tua hasn't begun to feel Sabans wrath.

How great he becomes will be determined by how willing he is to take Nick's coaching...Aj endured it and it paid off

Bama was down 13 because they had not shown any passing ability and UGA had mostly shut down the running game in the first half. Bama needed to pass to open up the run in the second half.
