George is there anyway you could put together a comparison of OSU and Bama like head to head like you do for our other games? Also maybe include all their stuff like you did in the "why wasn't Wisconsin talked about thread"? If it's too much I understand. Thanks!

Alabama
- 11-1 record
- #3 AP Poll
- #1 Sagarin
- #3 Massey Composite
- #2 S&P+
- #1 ESPN FPI
- #56 SOS per Sagarin
- #47 SOS per ESPN
- 0-1 vs Sagarin Top 10
- 2-1 vs Sagarin Top 20
- 3-1 vs Sagarin Top 30
- 4-1 vs Sagarin Top 50
- 6-1 vs Sagarin Top 60

Hey bud - you mean like a head to head model type thing?

I assume that's what he means.

Also, your model is more about yards per play if i recall, not about scoring. This may make OSU look better.

OSU outgained PSU and Wisconsin by a combined 350 yards...and won the games by a combined 7 points. Should have won each by 17 plus BUT NOOOOO

Happens sometimes. And it's infuriating.

Well, it figures out Yards Per Play based on how a team has performed against good opponents and their averages. Then the YPP expected is plugged into a teams Points Per Yard number.

So, it really works with both. If a team gains 500 yards a game but scores 14 points their Points Per Yard number will suck.

Ok well i know how this is going to go then. OSU dominated their last 3 games against ranked opponents but aside from MSU did not get many "Points Per Yard"

If you go back and look at his models they have been very accurate over the year.
