Do you guys think Quinerly enter his name in the NBA draft following the season similar to what Petty and Jones did last year. His ball handling kinda reminds me of Mike Bibby. Also with a full summer in the weight room Keon Ellis with a little more added strength is going to be a problem for the SEC, with Gary a year removed from his knee injury and maybe in a little more better shape this team Oats is putting together is loaded with talent similar to the Horry, Sprewell and Hollywood days. Oats is kinda fiery like Wimp and that's a good thing. Players often take on their coach's personality. #RollTide

I could see him entering his name in the draft to get feedback, but he's not draftable at the moment. I'm not sure he ever will be an NBA guy. He's probably too undersized. If he plays all of next season like he has the last few weeks he will have a chance though. He has started to show more of an ability to get his own shot and create for his teammates over the last month. And he's just a sniper from 3.

The way he has been playing he is definitely a NBA player. Hope he returns.

This is correct. He'll probably be a #2 guard next year (in possibly a 3 guard lineup) because our new guy will probably run the offense after he gets settled into the college game.

He looked like Kyrie at times against LSU. His handles are nutty and he’s been slicing up defenses.

You think so? I would think it's opposite, but maybe I haven't seen enough of JD. The only highlights I ever see are of him dunking

ETA: I guess JD has that great ability to drive to the basket which creates great looks on the outside

If he has a really big tournament (like way bigger than sec tournament) he could maybe be a fringe round 2 guy - but we don't really see those kinds of games from players. He would need to create his own shot, put the team on his back kind of performance and a deep run to get considered like that IMO.

If he comes in next year, plays a full season where he shows the acrobatic finish at the rim ability, keeps shooting high percentage from 3, etc. he should be able to go. He just doesn't have the full season resume yet for teams to take a shot given that he is undersized - at least IMO.

Passing may be JD's best skill. I'm not saying we should expect him to be Ja Morant, but that is who he reminds me of.

JQ is a fantastic player, but I don’t think NBA quite yet.

I really like his game, but he's NOT a great point guard. His decision making is suspect!

Don't think he would get drafted in the 2 rounds this year, but he will have a long NBA career outside of injury.

Has quickness, handles, vision and solid shot.

Chris Paul is 6ft. Sexton is 6'1".
JQ's height (6'1") won't be that much of an issue.

I agree with you, his ability to penetrate and finish around the rim remind me of Tony Parker

Needs another year, he has a tendency to drive and get smothered inside because of lack of size he needs to develop a teardrop type shot.

Another year and he's probably done. I think J.D. Davidson comes off the bench. The game is slowing down for Quinerly. 1st team SEC next year. With his ball handling ability he SHOULD BE leading the SEC in assists easily.

He can come off the bench and still achieve that goal.

as much as jq has improved his ball handling this year, he needs as much next year. he still has to many dribble turnovers. yes, he has improved greatly. but hes still got room for improvement. his decision making is still suspect. he did great last night. but last night he finally started pulling the ball back out when nowhere to go, rather than putting up a crazy shot or committing a turnover. jq has a bright future. but hes got to keep his nose to the grindstone and keep improving. why not be the very best he can be, rather than settling for 75% of the best he can be. jmo tho
