both are prominent in the natty discussion year in and year out when NS retires. Who do you want at the Capstone should momma come calling.
I prefer Pruitt.
I prefer Pruitt.

Dude...
Pruitt is a coordinator.
Dabo is a Championship caliber head coach who is ahead of the career pace of Nick Saban at the moment.
Dabo has even bled for the Tide.

Let me see.
A guy with no head coaching experience at all or a guy with a natty, multiple conference titles, and a string of 10 win seasons almost as long as Bama's current run.
Tough call.

If Pruitt has had a lot of success (playoff wins) at that point, I'll take him all day every day. I'm not a Dabo fan. However, odds are, Pruitt never wins the SEC, let alone a NC.

As of today Dabo has been to 3 straight playoffs, 2 straight national title games and won a national title.
Pruitt has gotten off a jet with an orange tie on.
As of today, I think I'll go with Dabo.

Who will be approaching his 20th season at Clemson with god knows how many playoff appearances when Saban retires. Our window to get him is rapidly closing, if it hasn't slammed shut already.
Hell, he has a kid in college now who doesn't even remember having lived in Alabama. It's pretty safe to say Clemson is home for Dabo now.

I couldn't have said it more eloquently.

I think Pruitt is going to do very well as a head coach. We will probably find out before Saban retires. One thing for certain, if CNS picks you to be his DC, you must be a pretty special coach. Obviously Dabo has already proved he can do it. But I do think winning a NC would be easier at Clemson than in the SEC. Its just too brutal, too physical and too many injuries to survive. That hit by our safety on the barn running back probably cost them the SEC championship. I just takes a lot of depth to make it in the SEC.

Make no mistake.. he isn’t coaching. Fulmer will be. He will be a puppet used to recruit. Not saying he can’t coach or wouldn’t do a great job, but fat Phil will run the show. He will never get a true chance with Fat Phil there.

See, I think Pruitt is so head strong, there will be an implosion if fat phil tries to tell him what to do.
