It IS weird how this game in the past several years has either been a close Auburn win, or a blowout by Alabama.

Auburn hasn't really blown Alabama out in like 50 years.

If we can start fast and jump our to a 14 point or mor lead, that will help tremendously. Auburn’s doesn’t do well when they have to strictly depend on the pass to come back or keep up

Best case: Force Auburn in 3rd and long situations as much as they can. They struggled with that early in season. What I've seen in last two games is that there are some area we can exploit and I think I'm with Boz on this... it'll be double digit score.

Cobrasize,

You definitely brought up an interesting point. I don't think Bo Nix is good enough to bring his team from behind to win a game.

I don’t either. I want to jump on them early and then we won’t really have to worry about the “razzle dazzle” shite that Gus confuses folks with.

Bama hasn't shown it's capable of beating Auburn in a close game. If it's close, Auburn wins.
A more accurate way of viewing it is that AU is incapable of winning comfortably vs Alabama. Btw, Bama has won a couple of close games under Saban: 26-21 in 09 and 55-44 in 14. In fact, Bama trailed in both of those contests for much of the game.

Technically no, but as an in person witness to the 2005 game it was very bit an arse whipping beat down.

I want to beat them so badly that it puts the nail in Gus' coffin.

You're either an idiot or a pot stirring media troll. I'm leaning towards the latter.

Gus isn't close to being on the hotseat.

I get why you say that, but Gus has beaten Saban more than anyone else.

I just want to absolutely destroy them. Jump on them early and don’t let off the gas. Then let Bryce Young score on them.

Absolutely. I want to see Young and McClellan marching down the field by the 4th qrt.

I want to see an effort like the Texas A&M game in 2014 when our guys just went crazy and beat the living hell out of them. Take the fight to them and leave no doubt.

It won't happen.
Gus works on Alabama 365 days a year. Although, I've said in the past he only cares about 2 games a year, one Arkansas and two Alabama, they didn't look all that good against Arkansas.
But, they did look good against LSU.

Wasn’t this what he did last year?

Assuming you're talking about just the Saban era, this simply isn't true.

Since Saban arrived at Alabama there have been 8 Iron Bowls where the game was within 7 or less going into the 4th quarter.

Auburn has won 5 (2007, 2010, 2013, 2017, 2019)
Alabama has won 3 (2009, 2014, 2015)

It's a perception issue. The close games are pretty evenly split after 2007 - but half the games aren't close. In those it's Bama blowing Auburn the frick out 100% of the time. Since the blowouts have been so common under Saban, you expect to win them all.

Fact 1: Alabama struggles against good Auburn teams at Jordan-Hare

Fact 2: Alabama beats the hell out of middling to dog crap Auburn teams in Bryant-Denny

Fact 3: Upsets rarely happen in the Iron Bowl. The better team wins.

Fact 4: Even though I know all of the above is true and can be proven by teams of scientists, I fear the Auburn God of voodoo and will feel more relief than jubilation after a victory on Saturday.
