I just wondered if anybody has any inside info about the teams practices this week. Has the team got their head out or their butts or are they sleepwalking through practice like last week ?

Boz said that we may turn the corner this week. It’s up to the players.

Biggest improvement is usually the seventh game of the season ...

Honestly, this is why I don't have an overly optimistic outlook.
The aTm game is not going to be some 2008 Ole Miss to Florida game, where Florida took off after that loss.
Not even Alabama's 2015 loss to Ole Miss.
For the moment, and until proven otherwise, I will equate this game to the 2010 Alabama loss to South Carolina.

I am usually more optimistic but said it after the UF game and again after the aTm game. This may be that type of year where expectations are really high but unrealistic for a NC.

MSU. Ark. and AU I could see us dropping 2 of those 3. Especially at JH.

But oth maybe we bounce back but where we got exposed against aTm were the same issues against UF and 3 games later nothing has changed.

Either way hoping for a strong finish. RTR!

Pretty much what I’ve heard is scorched earth, accountability, how do you want to end this season, it can end anytime if we lose etc.

I’ve heard the cryo chamber has been getting a workout.

One of my newer sauces is one of the Rbs, said about half of the team felt like AM wouldn’t be as tough as they were. Said it was a wake up call for everyone even some of the coaches.

Have you heard any information about any possible depth chart changes? I would love to see some of the young WRs, Moody, and Kool-Aid, get some of those 1st team reps.

I appreciate the news that brings reason for optimism, but right now I'm not feeling it. Hoping I'm wrong.

When you have scheme issues. When you have Coaching issues. And when you have attitude and personnel issues out of your arse?...There is NO way all get corrected in mid season. The mistakes in alignment and assignment just blows my mind at a place like this of such high caliber. You have guys like CHarris,Battle, and Jobe, who are basically playing for future money potential right now and all 3 are sinking like a boulder thrown off a bridge into a creek. As a team they get Zero pass rush.Their tackling, especially on the perimeter,is very poor. They play the ball in the air as bad as any team I have seen at the place in my years. And they dont turn anyone over much. But these are truths that I hate like crazy to say.And I cant see it changing.Hope it does. But I cant see it.Not now.

You are not allowed to criticize players without the board’s permission. You will be referred to as an “idiot” until you get your mind right. Understand?

even 31 had little affect on the passer who stood upright in the pocket all game long and eat our lunch

Meh, I think it's probably worse than that. That team had a lot of first round guys counting the days until payday- this team not so much. This team has several players starting that usually couldn't sniff playing time at Bama.

I'm excited to see how we respond this weekend against MSU.

I am actually feeling pretty optimistic about the rest of the season.

Basically we got punched in the mouth and no one saw it coming.

News flash: we aren’t the only team with 5 stars.

Say all you want to about how A&M has struggled this season, because they certainly have. But you could tell in the game week quotes that Saban wasn't sleeping on them, and for good reason.

I noted in a post yesterday that even thought A&M was "unranked," and thus ended our streak, they have been ranked in 23 of the past 24 polls going back to 2019.

17 of those 24 weeks, A&M was ranked in the Top 10.

A&M's recruiting ranks the last 5 years:

2021: 8th
2020: 6th
2019: 4th
2018: 17th
2017: 13th

247's current team talent composite: # next to team indicates combined 4-stars and 5-stars

1. BAMA (74)
2. UGA (66)
3. OHST (65)
4. CLEM (50)
5. LSU (49)
6. OU (52)
7. FLA (56)
8. A&M (48)

Long story short, A&M had WAY underperformed coming into the Bama game, but they still have plenty of horses and had 105,000 people behind them in a night game.

Taking them lightly was absolutely idiot.

Saban tried to warn them.

I am too. We got punched in the mouth in the 1st half Saturday, but thought we responded well and played much better in the 2nd half. They at least showed they had fight in them.

I am worried about the RB situation though. The McClellan injury is going to be hard to overcome unless Williams steps up.
