Is Rosario free agent at years end ? Soler ? Joc ? Duvall ? Who do we sign ? With the designator hitter next year the braves could be epicly loaded with all those guys able to mix and match in the outfield, and somebody DH Really like Rosario in that leadoff role.

If AA resigns Soler he’s a fricking idiot. You don’t even need to look at analytics to see the massive holes in his game and his age+profile are going to result in a massive drop off a la Khris Davis. There’s a reason a guy that hit 40+ home runs a year or two ago was available for pennies. The man’s played one season of ball better than 1 fWAR in seven years. He’s worth 5.7 fWAR over 661 games and is a defensive liability.

Rosario probably leaves in free agency. He’s going to demand too much and someone will gamble on his 3 fWAR years he had 2-3 years ago. Good rental though.

Joc is a platoon bat (literally hit 1 HR out of 40 in 2019 against LHH) but he has a mutual option for 7M a year. If he hits FA you should also be wary of dumping more than 10M on him, otherwise he might get flipped in the same manner the Cubs flipped him to us.

Realistically we don’t resign any of them. Drew Waters and Pache are coming up, Ozuna (who everyone loves to forget, for good reason) probably plays for us next season since his contract is guaranteed, and Acuna is back. Arbitration guys like Waters/Pache are too valuable to bury behind aging overpaid vets.

Also if we’re resigning Freddie, which we will, none of them avoid getting culled. We can’t sign both sets.
