Dropped in the AP, I expect the same in the others. We are a different team without a generational QB and the resume’ isn’t holding up to the scrutiny. Let’s finish out the season with 3 straight wins and go heal up for next year.

Nope. Georgia's win over Auburn moved them above Bama.

I honestly expect the to take it into account.. their job is to put in the best 4 teams.. not the most deserving or conference champion.. it’s the 4 best. Without Tua we are not one of the 4 best.. hurts but it’s true. We are still a top 10.. maybe even 5th.. but I don’t see top 4 either. Our Defense really hurts us without Tua throwing back there to keep up with these high scoring O’s

Oregon beat Wash ST and Wash by a combined 6 points and lost to Auburn who we will probably beat. Idc we would dominate their whole schedule with Mac. I feel like I’m crazy or something because no one sees this.

I have Oregon Ranked 6th.. I see Ohio St, Clemson, LSU, and Oklahoma as the top 4 with possibly UGA.. I have us ahead of Oregon. The only thing that has Oklahoma up there is the ability to score and if we could keep up. They would drop 40 plus on us.. then with UGA it would depend on Fromms game. If he had a game like the last two on us we wouldn’t win that one either. They would score enough and hold us. They have us from a talent level on D.. we will see in two weeks what this Mac lead offense can do against a really good D. The top 4 can always change.. but yes I think we could beat Oregon

Assuming LSU, OSU, CU, Oregon and OU win out, I think we'd have to beat AU soundly with Mac lighting it up for the committee to clearly view us as the 4th best. With our injury-ravaged defense, we may need to score as much with Mac as we could with Tua to hang with the top-3. But, in the above scenario, the question for the committee should be who's best among UA, Oregon and OU? To assess that well, they'll need to evaluate our performance in games Tua couldn't play -- 2nd half vs UT & MSU, Ark, WCU, AU -- with Bama vs AU being the one that matters most, since it's most recent and the toughest opponent.

But that loss to a 4-7 South Carolina team looks hideous. However, if Georgia wins out, they're in.

To be honest, I’m not sure I would want Bama in the playoffs right now anyway. Mac hasn’t had enough game experience, the defense needs a lot of work on fundamentals (technique, angles, tackling), and the o-line shows up proper around 60% of the time.

Without a qb that can match the score, Bama would likely lose with relative ease against teams with a great offense (OSU, LSU again).

All in all, this is still a great year for the team. Potentially being 11-1 is great no matter who you are.

Why would anybody not want us in the playoffs? The worst thing that can happen is we lose in the semi-final,but then three out of four teams go home as losers.
What's wrong with that? We gain visibility publicity and recruits attention not to mention the money.

Our loss vs other losses. So now teams lose poll positions because of injuries? Hope it works the same for other teams.

UGA now has 3 ranked wins on the schedule. We have a much better loss but we have a big fat 0 ranked wins. The polls are also based on who people think is best. It’s not far fetched to think our team isn’t as good without Tua.

Meh I guess I think polls should be based on win/losses. In the end it will work itself out.

They mostly are. Like I said UGA has 3 ranked wins. In the eyes of many voters that’s enough to outweigh their one bad loss.

Yep and none of it matters. LSU will play UGA. If LSU wins we have a shot at number 4 and that mostly depends on if we beat AU and how we look.

This.

It should be obvious to anyone who's been following college football longer than 15 minutes.

Considering Oregon and Utah were right behind us in last week’s poll, it’s a pretty good chance one will jump us after championship weekend (assuming they go into the game with one loss) while we sit at home.

They are going to leap frog that PAC12 champion over us though, that's the real issue, not UGA.
