Honestly outside of the handful of premier OOC matchups in week one each year the games were about as good (or bad) as they normally are the first few weeks of the season .

Yeah, but there have been a few interesting games. Hate that South Alabama blew a big lead on the first night in their new stadium, though.

Les Miles is getting his arse kicked by Coastal Carolina right now.

I just don't think it's possible for anyone to rebuild Kansas at this point.

The Big 12 is just awful outside of Oklahoma and Texas. Maybe Oklahoma State.

How can Kansas football be a "rebuild" if it's never been built? Hasn't Kansas football always been turrible?

They had some really good teams under Glen Mason in the 90s. And then those couple of years under Mark Mangino.

It honestly looked like tech was going to lose with all the blocked everything. All of sudden they were in the lead lol.

I hate that Miles is having to coach up there. I thought he could do a good job at a legitimate school.

Kansas at least looking respectable in the 2nd half after going down 28-0 in the first.

The game I guess I enjoyed most was the GaTech vs FSU game. The Yellow Jackets stuck to their knitting and toughed out a big win on the road. Billy Napier and the Ragin' Cajuns putting it on Iowa State was pretty good too. I suspect Iowa State will be working on special teams this week.

When the playoff committee gets around to figuring out SOS this season the cupcakes that Texas and Oklahoma tuned up with this weekend will be discussed in length. The SEC is going to lap the field in SOS and it will take a miracle or complete shutdown of college football to keep at least two SEC teams out of the playoff.

I didn't watch hardly any of the games yesterday outside a few minutes of the Clemson one, but holy hell the Big 12 sucks.

I woke up this morning and checked the scores and almost spit out my coffee.

Huge day for the Sunbelt Conference. Let the group of 5 hype train begin.

Norvell at least cleaned up some of the boneheaded mistakes last night but there’s still a ways to go. Tech just outplayed FSU and wanted it more. FSU needs to realize that their mystique and their athletic superiority over the rest of the ACC is gone, especially in the trenches. They’ve got to go back to work on the recruiting trail and get some dudes. Nobody fears them anymore.

Big XII is just a dumpster fire. You have Oklahoma as the clear class of league, on the next tier of decent is Texas and West Virginia, next is 3 teams you don’t know about yet since they’ve not played, and the rest belong in the MAC.

They might not make it in the Mac, since they can't even handle Sunbelt teams.

Alabama Hasn’t Played, But Moves Up In Polls (BamaOnLine)

quote:

Maybe it wasn’t Appalachian State over Michigan, but former Alabama Assistant Coach Billy Napier had a nice upset win with his Louisiana Ragin Cajuns upsetting Iowa State (ranked 23rd by Associated Press and 25th in the Coaches poll in preseason rankings), 31-14, in what was called Week 2 of 2020 college football...

Also of interest – but not poll interest -- Arkansas State upset Kansas State, 35-31, and Coastal Carolina downed Kansas, 38-23, giving the Big XII three humiliating losses to Sun Belt teams...

I know this question has been asked somewhere, but how can the Big 12 play non-conference but the SEC can't?

Because the Big12 chose to and the SEC chose not to. Heck, the B1G and PAC12 chose to not play, period.
