(OT) Want to give a hat tip to RollTide1987

In the dragging on of summer after I've rewatched all my DVR'd games multiple times I then look to youtube to watch highlights of other games in the past. All I want is a solid 10-20 minute video that basically recaps the game adn gives all the important stuff. FAR too often you get a highlight video that is like 3 minutes long and cuts out way too much, it'll cut to the next scene and like 17 points have been scored that weren't shown. Then you've got the other extreme where you ahve the entire full length games, but I'm not trying to strap in for 3 hours.
So in searching for the 07 uga/bama game I came across RT87's version and it was perfect, exactly what a game recap video should be. I'm sure there are others that make similar videos but I imagine MOST only focus on their own team's wins, and probably a select few at that. I can't imagine the painstaking amount of time and effort it takes to not only do these excellent recaps but to do them for your team's losses to boot and not just wins.
So again, thank you RT1987 for the effort. I'm sure there are many many more out there like me that appreciate the work you put in to make those.

Totally agree - it's an awesome resource.
Honestly, if I had my druthers, SEC Network would just be a collection of games cut at 30 minute lengths like RT87s for all the teams in the league.

Blows my mind why they dont' do this already. We don't need to see the same 30 for 30s and finebaum all day, give us football highlights. Also not sure why we have 3 or 4 alternate channels below the regular SECN that are dead air 24/7 aside from a random crappy live game in the fall when needed. Total waste of space.
On a different note, last year SECN showed a series called "[school] in 60" which was phenomenal. It was a 60 minute show of every game that season cut down into a succinct highlight package. I've searched all over but can't find anythign about it and have no idea if they'll do it again this summer for last season. I believe it came out in midJuly or August. Anyone know anythign abotu that? Hell I even watched a bunch of other team's episodes it was that entertaining.

Yep - it was basically a team version of the show they do every Sunday. It's a mirror image of what MLB Network does with Quick Pitch. It's awesome. Extended highlights without commenting. It gives you a really good overall idea of the game and not just the 3 big passes and big hits.
I record the SEC in 60 show during the season every weekend. It's really good, especially if you were on campus at a game and didn't get to see much of others.

I had no idea they did this, can you elaborate? Obviously it comes on SECN on sundays during the season, I somehow missed it. I know on Sundays they had a "sportscenter" style show that would recap the weekend but didn't know they had the 60 minute highlight thing like you mentioned. Any idea what times it airs or if it will return this fall?

I honestly don't know exactly when it comes on - I have my DVR set to record it. First run may be like Sunday night at 10 PM or something? It re-runs on Mondays I think because sometimes I get 2 of them in my DVR.
Basically, it's an hour that just shows highlights of all the SEC Games. I don't even think there is a human voice telling you which highlights are next. It just pops up the two teams then shows 4-5 minutes of game highlights from the TV tape of the game.

That's what I need. The show I mentioned that I'd watch has Dhari and I think mcfarland at a desk in a studio going over highlights, which is perfectly fine but I'd also like to watch one with no anchors and just highlights like you're saying.

Yea, and I agree. Nothing wrong with Dhari and whoever is with him that day, but I like the extended highlights and nobody talking over them.
MLB QuickPitch is probably my favorite show on TV. I watch it almost every night when I go to sleep unless I'm super pissed at the Braves.

I've been watching his and a few others through the Playstation while I work. The quality is as good as the original broadcast in HD.
