I hadn't seen anything about that, other than people guessing. Saban's style doesn't really match Chizik and his family first thing he has had going on since retirement.

Think Mike Shula would leave the Giants OC and be OC at Bama?

Maybe it's wishful thinking but still got a soft spot for Mike and hope he does well he had a uphill battle from the start at Bama.

Maybe he would also stay a little longer than the last few.

He has run mediocre offenses at each of his stops... I don't know why we would hire him to do that here.

While we’re at it, we can replace Tosh with DuBose.

I hope not. I have a soft spot for him too but he's not a very good offensive coach.

Shula was named Offensive Coordinator of the Year by Pro Football Focus during the 2015 NFL season.

He had that one really good year, and props to him for that, but I stand by my statement that overall at each stop he has run a mediocre offense.

This cat must be 12 years old. @ hiring Shula as oc. Plus his ego would never allow it.

in a strange way, it seems saban is treating staff overturn as a recruiting season of its own. we all know he loves recruiting. so why not recruit coaches, every freakin year.

Shulas offenses in Carolina were uncreative and lackluster.

YPP
2013 - 22nd
2014 - 21st
2015 - 15th
2016 - 21st
2017 - 19th

And that was with a veteran, #1 overall pick at QB and a consistently solid defense on the other side.

He's not terrible, but he's just a guy as an offensive mind. Anybody who is a fan of a NFC South team knows that those Shula led offenses were only scary if Cam had a ridiculous Cam day. Their stuff was basically old pro style out of the gun with some QB runs.

Shulas offenses here would be great between the 20's and retarded in The Red Zone.......Come to think that sounds just like Monday so maybe he would be a perfect fit.

At minimum I would love to get him on staff for the future if we really are concerned about his experience.

This is probably why I had such a strong reaction to it... rooting for the Bucs I saw this twice a year.

No I'm not twelve I wish I was again though I'd def do some things different. (Ex wife)

Carolina he won offensive coordinator then the franchise wanted changes because Cam kept getting inured after that year.

Was just me just bsing I don't think he would ever come back either.

Also comparing him to Dubose is messed up he was a patch to a gaping wound.
