He should have gone to UWA

Ben looks like his father but he plays like his mother.
What you know is every school in the SEC missed on their evaluation of Ben.

Well, that sure seems like a big hire

Ben's problem is there just isn't that many 150# white boyz playing in the SEC these days like at Gordo
can you feel me?

Not many white boys in Gordo.

Alabama expected to hire Mississippi State RB coach (al.com)
quote:
Alabama is set to add another coach to its offensive staff.
Nick Saban is expected to hire Mississippi State running backs coach Charles Huff, sources told AL.com.
Huff would be running backs coach and possibly co-offensive coordinator, according to a source.
Huff, who was also the assistant head coach and run game coordinator at Mississippi State, was the running backs coach and special teams coordinator at Penn State from 2014 to 2017, working with eventual top-five draft pick Saquon Barkley.
It’s unclear what this means for Joe Pannunzio, who was Alabama’s running backs coach last season.
Post will be updated.

How does everyone feel about Huff (if we really are hiring him)? Seems like we have been pretty divided on the other hires

Things are different these days vs the 60's. My 1st fame in pee wee ball was 60 vs the Green Wave. Hell it was colder than your Mother-in-laws love and the kickoff guy for Gordo was barefooted.

Tide expected to hire SEC offensive assistant (BamaOnLine)
quote:
Alabama is expected to hire Mississippi State assistant head coach and running backs coach Charles Huff to its staff, BamaOnLine has confirmed, barring any unforeseen circumstance.
It’s not clear what role Huff will serve with the Crimson Tide at this time, but the veteran assistant has over a dozen years experience at programs like Penn State, Western Michigan, Vanderbilt and Maryland. Huff also served a stint with in the NFL with the Buffalo Bills.
Prior to joining Joe Moorhead in Starkville this past season, Huff coached running backs and special teams with the Nittany Lions. Under Huff’s watch, Saquon Barkley, a player Huff recruited to State College, earned consensus All-American honors during the 2017 season. Barkley went on to being selected No. 2 overall in last spring’s NFL Draft.
On top of his running back coaching prowess, Huff is also an accomplished special teams coach, guiding Penn State kicker Tyler Davis to first team All-Big Ten honors in 2016 and the Vlade Award, which is given to the nation’s most accurate kicker each year.
Huff, Maryland native, is also an accomplished recruiter, especially on the East Coast, an area that has been very good to the Tide under former offensive coordinator Mike Locksley. Huff recruited 2017 5-star running back Ricky Slade to Penn State out of Virginia, 4-star defensive end Shane Simmons out of DeMatha Catholic in 2016, among many others.
The move is yet another big-time expected addition in the wake of staff turnover in Tuscaloosa. BamaOnLine reported that Saban is also expected to hire Florida assistant Sal Sunseri, Tennessee assistant Charles Kelly, and former Rutgers head coach Kyle Flood.
Stay tuned to BamaOnLine for all the latest developments as Alabama’s staff looks to be one step closer to its completion.

Hell I just want a staff. Seems like it has been Saban and Golding and everybody else leaving I do like the hire though

I really hope we get the Washington DC. I think it's a long shot, but the longer we wait for the DC hire, the better I feel about it
Posted on 1/20/19 at 4:01 pm to Cobrasize
Wait until Nick hires DJ Durkin as his DC.....
Posted on 1/20/19 at 4:05 pm to JoseyWalesTheOutlaw
LAWD, it wouldn't bother me, but all hell would break loose
Posted on 1/20/19 at 4:07 pm to Cobrasize
I think he saw the backlash he got just from a consulting role

Durkin could probably join up with Freezus at Liberty or Art Briles in Italy.
