He hasn’t revealed the name. He has been pretty spot on with information though. He usually drops hints like that but waits until the news leaks out

Not really. He has been wrong more than he has been right. If this post indicates anything I think this was toward lance Taylor.

I was also thinking it may be about Lance Taylor.

Mel Tucker's resume was stellar when he came to Alabama.

That’s all well and good but he was only a DB coach at Alabama. Not sure what it had to do with a comparison of experience as a DC relative to Golding and previous DCs under Saban.

I'm sure Saban, Jim Tressel, Kirby Smart and the University of Colorado's AD all feel differently than you do about Mel Tucker and that's the bottom line. My point is that Golding wasn't as proven as past DC and even DB coaches that coached at Bama in recent years. Golding's play calling this past season left a lot to be desired. And, if Golding will be the DC this upcoming season Saban has put a contingency plan in place by bringing in Sal Sunseri and Charles Kelly, two veteran coaches to help pilot the defense if need be.

I'm not going to judge Golding too much when he was paired with another DC and then had to take over mid-season. That's got dysfunction written all over it. He's clearly a bright up and coming coach as evidenced by the people who wanted to hire him last off-season and this one. I also don't think having your defensive playcaller in the booth in this day and age is idea. Too many changes happen in the 4-5 seconds before the ball is snapped.

If indeed Ole Miss and OU made an offer to Pete for their DC position you have to believe he would have at least received a 1 million dollar deal. Saban then had to counter Pete (as of today) with something near that offer and that speaks highly of how much Nick thinks of Pete's Potential Going Forward. We'll see. JMO but I think the current DB (Karl) is on the clock for 2019.

Maybe. I actually thought our DBs did ok based on my expectations. I mean the only guy we had coming back that had played any meaningful snaps was Thompson and even he was pretty limited. Basically we had 5-6 brand new guys back there, so I figured it would be a rough year.

I expect that will be a strength next year with all of the experience Surtain, Carter, McKinney, Mayden and Diggs got this year.

Just saw on Coaching Changes Board where some LSU fans were asking about making a run at Coach Kool and someone said they wouldn’t want him bc when at Mizzou, he leaked their playbook bc he had an issue with the DC. Just wondering why we haven’t heard that ?

I wonder if we could make a run at Craig Kuligowski the Bama DL coach. The guy that leaked the Mizzou playbook because he was beefing with the DC? No thank you.

Did you expect Golding to pull a pass rusher out of his rear end? With Miller,Lewis, Allen out and Buggs not 100% what other options were did Bama have? He didn't have any control over Diggs getting hurt and as far as I know he wasn't the one that chose to recruit Savion.

I thought that was just some dumb rumor. Odom flat out denied it when asked about it.

Actually hard to believe we led the SEC in sacks. Just seemed at the end we didn’t get much pressure (I know Buggs was hurt )

The fact Buggs was even playing as much as he did in the NC games speaks volumes about his backups. Anytime Clemson needed a sure thing (other than passing) they ran right at #49. With both #49 and #47 hurt Bama was really behind the eight ball.

Hell a one legged blind man could have matched what #49 did vs the Fighting Dabo's.
