Cause the players are improving. Dazon Ingram can shoot threes now, Petty can dribble, Riley Norris is stroking it from three, Donta Hall is improving his range as well. Good player development.

Sure. They'll be lucky to get a ticket. We are going to be lit when they come here. Players and public.

LOL - yea, that rabid LSU basketball fanbase. Terrifying, I'm sure they'll be everywhere in Tuscaloosa that day.

Yes I think there are a couple very logical reasons

(1) He's gotten better, he's matured and he's playing with better players around him.

(2) He's allowed to play a role that his skillset is built for. He's a pick and pop shooter who, if you don't respect it, can put it on the floor and get to the rim. He is not a focal point of the offense type guy. In previous years he was forced to be that guy - he was our only outside shooter, he had to do all the things a 3 or 4 does, etc. He's now basically been put in his natural role, which is junkyard dog on the boards and defense and pick and pop guy on offense. And he's the 3rd or 4th threat, so he naturally gets much better looks, and he is thriving in it.

Our entire offense is light years better because guys have found roles and the coaches have figured out how to place them there. Ingram is another great example of that.

Depending on a good showing at the SEC Tournament, every damn year. That isn't college basketball. That's just what we have been getting.

I'll be honest - clearly signing great players would be awesome, but unless you are Kentucky I think the best path to win in college basketball is sign a bunch of really really good players who are going to give you at least 2-3 years on campus........and then you can sprinkle in a few 1 and dones if they fit.

Especially after watching our group this year as they develop and gel compared to last year.

ESPN BPI gives us a 26.1% chance tomorrow night.

Would be absolutely huge to get these two wins this week.

Norris is healthy this year. He has been banged up the last couple of years. Then he had to work himself back into playing shape when he got back on the court this year.

re: Official Alabama Basketball Season Thread (FIRE AVERY)
I agree George. Musselman at Nevada and before him, Brad Stevens at Butler built great teams outside of the blue bloods by taking a bunch of guys and keeping them around until their 4th or 5th year, developing them and taking them deep in the tourney. They learn to play their roles and play together while they develop their skills and it’s a deadly combination. If any of them are extremely talented, it’s even more deadly.

Ok I just posted a new thread hastily done graph showing the last 20ish years of Alabama basketball per KenPom stats : Offense, Defense, Overall.

It's kind of interesting once you figure out how to read it

re: Official Alabama Basketball Season Thread (FIRE AVERY)
I'd love to see us win our next 4 games(@MSU, FLA, @A&M, Vandy) because the closing 4 are going to be tough - @USC, LSU, Barn, @Arky. 4-4 would be a decent close to the season and should get us in, though closing out the season with 4 straight losses may disqualify us.

Somehow USC has snuck into 4th in the league at 7-3.

Well if recent history holds form, we will be sitting at 17-18 wins the last week of the season fighting for our lives.
