Love it. I know South Alabama doesn't look as good right now as they have in the past couple of years but that was a huge road sweep.
I think anything above 12 wins in SEC play would be really nice progress. Looking at the rest of the non-conference slate:
vs. Maine
vs. Auburn (in Montgomery)
vs. Troy
@ Samford
@ UAB
@ JSU
@ Troy
vs. Samford
That non-conference schedule beefs up big-time compared to what it's been so far. I think 5-3 would be a solid showing if I'm being honest. The grind starts now. Hopefully this team can continue to find a way to win.

I want to see us win some conference series against teams

I said this all along. We are the same team as last season through this point.
Until we win a couple series against SEC teams, don’t get excited for your own good.

Yea - I think this is a team more equipped to handle the grind of the SEC than last year primarily because it is deeper. Last year went off the rails, but halfway through SEC play we were playing pretty well. I don't think this team is going to go 2-14 down the stretch or whatever.
However, with the insane depth of this league, its definitely possible.
So far so good, but nothing really matters until conference play.

Agree, there is a lot to be optimistic about.
Nobody should be expecting to win the SEC, or even legitimately compete for it this year, based on what has happened so far. But at the same time, this is unquestionably a better baseball team this year than last imo. Will be a grind this year, but it should be fun. And there is bright future it appears.

Where are you finding this? I checked the archives on the UA website and it has 2017 archives but not 2018.

Thanks. Some differences I see this year are - Our pitching is a good bit better. We have several guys who can really throw and can command the ball well. I think we also hit better. The ball is getting deeper in the zone and guys are putting good consistent swings on the ball. We are pounding teams that we should be. The biggest thing is that the team has some swagger. They aren't afraid of failure.

From what I saw the other night, hitting is a little suspect with not a lot of pop but the pitching is much improved . Several guys can bring it and have excellent control . Not one walk the other night I can remember

I can't say that I have watched every inning or even close to it. However, from what I have seen, I think that we have more confidence and a better approach at the plate. We have a few guys who can smash. I'm not sure that line drive baseball isn't better anyway. "Gimme a frozen rope right here."

Yea I haven’t either but they struggled against MTSU pitching the other night. If not for a two out scratch single , we may still be sitting there waiting for someone to score

If you get ESPN through your cable provider, you should get it for free. However, I did fork over $4.99 per month for ESPN+ (not sure if necessary).
