On the bright side, I made this for LSU folks on the fark board. At least we aren't that disappointed.

Was told this morning Saban wants freeze on the field and in recruiting. Could see a freeze/lock combo.

What it sounded like. Apparently some folks had a late meeting last night. Waiting to hear how this morning goes, these people change their mind about every hour so I will try to keep on the pulse of decisions.

I have to assume Locksley would be the QB coach and play caller in this scenario. Freeze takes over WR?

Why wouldn't Freeze be the QB coach and call plays?

OMG PLEASE!! That would be the best we can do honestly since Sterlin Gilbert or Dan Enos werent in the running.

Locksley has actually spent more time as a QBs coach. From 2006-08 at Illinois. But Freeze obviously has worked with them, being an OC at Arkansas State. And heavily involved with the offense at Ole Miss as head coach.

1. Because to my knowledge Freeze has never been a QB coach and Locksley has (both at Illinois and Maryland).
2. Because Locksley wouldn't be here without a guarantee he was calling plays IMO. He was a "co-coordinator" this past season as well and was set to leave without a promotion (if you believe the rumors).

Looks like Karl Scott for safeties

Didn't he just get hired as ULL's DC?

Interesting. Just became Napier's DC at ULL last month. It appears Golding is having a strong influence on this hire.

I'm just ready to have the staff filled out. If for no other reason we have a couple of weeks left in recruiting and we need to finish this class strong. Kids want to know who their position coach will be, naturally. The longer this takes, the less chance we have with guys like Walker, Peterson, etc.
