No, but beating the drum of your Oppressors and carrying the banner for your Masters is. Face it, unless anyone in this thread arguing for big business is in the wealthiest 3% of the population, then you are literally taking the side of those very corporations who hold you down. I'm sure you don't believe it, but it's true. And I think that is ridiculous, yes.

Having said that, I think it's time I bow out of this thread. It's been derailed enough. I want to talk football, not politics.

To anyone here who doesn't see eye to eye with me, let's agree to respectfully disagree. Every man is entitled to view the world as he damn well pleases, and I support that even for those whose opinions oppose mine. Roll Tide to all.

Gross.

Either it's student athletes representing a college for love of the game.

or it's paid mercenaries. And for those of you who say it already is, man, you ain't seen nothing yet.

well, heres some news for you. the US has no obligation to provide anything that isnt in our constitution. american citizens are responsible for their own self, period.

Probably a good idea since you are losing this argument.

It's a sad day indeed when the concept of paying your labor force a fair wage is considered socialism.

A fair wage? What's out of state tuition + books + meals + stipend equal? Then factor in a 20 hour NCAA regulated work week... seems almost like they're paid better than most 18-22 with no job skills

No, I'm winning because I'm smart enough to live in a better place than you.

But you do you.

I'm not trying to ruin or change CFB. I'm just telling you how it's going to change and why. I have no agenda or power whatsoever.

I take no offense to your post. You just don't have any idea of what life was like 60+ years ago. Things like morals, integrity, and honesty, among other things, were an important part of people's lives. A person's reputation meant more than their money to most, and a handshake and someone's word was often all that was needed back then for many business transactions to be accomplished.
Hell, people were real back then....totally different from how most are now.

I totally agree, and I know that you can find other places to live in 2019 that are quite similar to this yesteryear that you just described. Thank you for not taking offense.
