Their qb will torch our linebackers. We are gonna need to score 50 to win.

When we win by 10+ please never post again.

I think we win too, but Kiffin toyed with Golding last year, so there is reason for concern because our offense is not nearly as explosive as last year's. We had lots of dropped passes against Florida - Bolden's in the end zone was inexcusable. Golding does not seem to be able to see schemes and adjust quickly, and Kiffen is the best play caller in the game. We got used on read options against Florida in the 2nd half - had we practiced for that? Also Ole Miss defense is better. Hope we can run the ball much better than against Florida, mixed with some play action down field. If we just try to outscore them like last year, we may be in trouble.

I mean I think everyone understands Ole Miss is going to be a huge challenge. We've had like 5 threads already saying so.

Ole Miss is good, but they are not some unbeatable juggernaut. Bama will be ready and at home.

It's almost as if people forgot only one team came within 10 points of beating us last year.
And it wasn't Ole Miss.

Agreed on all points. However, in recent years it seems when everyone predicts the doom and gloom of Alabama is when the team responds the best. Look at 2014 Arkansas 14-13 then look at how the team responded from there.
I agree the defense struggled mightily against Florida & it was alarming. Ole Miss and Lane are a matchup nightmare. Corral might be the best qb in the SEC when he’s on but he’s known to slip up on the road. Look at Arkansas last year
Offensively we had 3 bad possessions & the rest we scored minus the punt (final drive). I was more nervous for this game than any other because of Dan Mullens track record of keeping games close with us (I know he can’t get over the hump tho)

I’m afraid the defense is what it is, yet again. I think we will have to be able to air it out and win a shootout.

100% true. This is the first time since 2015 that I'm worried about Ole freaking Miss.

The game will look exactly like last year. We will need to get lucky of special teams or capitalize off a turnover or two to win the game. They are going to score every drive on our defense.

I'm mentally preparing for us to give up a ton of points (i.e., Ole Miss scores on nearly every possession). I just hope that our offense can do the same thing to them.

They might, but Cole Cublic didnt seem to think they had the ability to do some of the things that FL can do. Maybe its just the speed option.

This situation isn't new to us. What year was it we went up to Fayetteville and laid an egg, but escaped with a win? That team looked much improved the rest of that season. Same thing last year after Ole Miss. We thought that defense was going to cost us a game, but they got better and better as the year went on, only to struggle again against Florida. Saban seems to struggle with Mullen coached offenses for whatever reason.

This is what took me off the Fire Golding train, and had me excited to see how the defense would look. Really hoping we can show similar improvement over the next month / season.

No, it's more like people remember that only one team was tied with us in the 4th quarter.
And it was Ole Miss.
I assume you've seen both Alabama and Ole Miss play. Which one do you think has improved more since last year?

yeah but if I'm not mistaken you predicted a loss to UGA last year so could be the same this time around

If either punter takes the field a couple possessions his team's probably getting the L.
Anyone who gambles, if the total is low 70's-75 go big on the over.

I will say that this is the first regular season game in a decade+ where I felt a game could go either way going in.
Maybe it's the fresh image of the defense getting pushed around. Maybe it's Lane getting 2 weeks to prepare when you know he'd give his left gonad to win this game.
I'm glad it's not on the road. We still have more talent obviously, but if we dick around like Saturday, we'll lose. The defense showed that we can't have our offense netting 3 yards for an entire quarter again vs Ole Miss.
