You’d think the head coach of the football team would be in attendance for the biggest basketball game in Coleman history. Give out pizzas, meet with donors, host recruits. It’s not like Washington was playing in a conference final or anything and he just had to be there. They were playing a fake school.

Sorry but this is horse shite. He has 4 years to watch his daughter compete in college softball. Any fan who is upset he didn’t attend a college Basketball game instead of watching his daughter play has no perspective on what’s important in life.

Sorry, he’s paid $10 million a year to make up for that. Again, they were playing Grand Canyon and we had one of the biggest college sports events of the year feet from his office. They handed out the Foy trophy for goodness sakes.

Nobody gets the perspective of spending time with family more than me. But you sacrifice that to a degree when you take a high profile job like Alabama. If we were playing some scrub tram, I get it…that surely wasn’t to case.

I think spring games are on the way out, which is a shame. We usually make it and have been there for the first spring game of the last several coaches.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present the face of "today's college football" for your consideration. Ya really think these people have their eyes on the prize anymore? I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry. But in this case I will only laugh.

NIL!

Agreed. I would think the players, their families, and the fans are all in favor of keeping them, so I'll be curious to see if we get any player reactions to the cancellation of games. It's gotta make Spring practices easier to get through when you're working towards a Spring game (and the possibility of a steak dinner, instead of beans )

Cause UNC is desperate and don't know better yet. People in Boston definitely complained about it . They will learn.

I would wager that most teams whether NFL or college have at least one relative on staff. Bowden had many at one time

I doubt many people are beating down the door to coach UNC football.

Found this post on the CFB Reddit page

quote:

On the Wikipedia Page for "Carpetbagger" there is an entire paragraph devoted to Brian Kelly's poor performance in big games

quote:

"Alongside its modern usage in politics, the term can still be applied to unscrupulous individuals coming from the north to profit themselves at Southerner's expense, such as in the case of Brian Kelly. Kelly left his head coaching position at Notre Dame to take the same position at LSU, enticed in no small part by a 10 year, $95 million dollar contract.[66] Despite adopting a horrifically fake southern accent and claiming that he'd now have "the resources to win a national championship[67]", Kelly has continued regularly lose to top-10 opponents in embarrassing fashion. He has not offered to return any of his earnings or re-negotiate his contract to reflect his mediocre performance.
