If Vegas has us favored to win the National Championship, and basically have us favored over everyone on a neutral site. I like our chances of getting in.

Saban is legendary for getting revenge. He'll tell Daboll to just run the ball if we make the playoffs. Most of that nation has Bama fatigue hence they're hamstering on why Bama doesn't deserve the opportunity.

It is not about running the ball. It is about the exoticness of the play calling.
When we moved the ball, we didn't just run it right at that from a pro. We misdirectioned them which confused them. Then turned up the tempo to keep them off balance and guessing.
When we become predictable and slow; that is when we falter.
Just running the ball is such a basic opinion that only drunk game day fans with little actual knowledge about the game repeat thinking they are saying anything remotely intelligent.

And Auburn is the 85 Bears. No reason for us to think we have a chance in a rematch should it occur.

I ran the numbers for Saban in revenge games at Alabama. I only included losses that can be avenged. (i.e. we haven't played tOSU or OU, therefore we can't avenge that loss yet)
2007 UGA (2008), FSU (2017), LSU (2008), Miss St (2008), ULM (2015), AU (2008)
2008 UF, (2009)
2010 LSU (lost), AU, (2011)
2011 LSU, (2012)
2012 TAMU, (2013)
2013 AU, (2014)
2014 OM, (lost)
2015 OM, (2016)
That brings it to 12/14 for a win percentage of 86%.

The idea of a team as talented as Alabama having "no chance" is laughable.
The team clearly isn't playing as well as some other teams right now and likely wouldn't be favored against some other teams in the top 5, but the capability of winning is more than present.

I think we all like what Saban can do with a team trying to improve off a loss and time to prepare.
