We've had a lot of success getting our guys to New York over the past 15 seasons (though I realize Najee and Anderson didn't make it to NYC, they still finished in the Top 5 in vote getting).

2009: Mark Ingram - Winner
2011: Trent Richardson - 3rd
2013: AJ McCarron - 2nd
2014: Amari Cooper - 3rd
2015: Derrick Henry - Winner
2018: Tua Tagovailoa - 2nd
2020: DeVonta Smith - Winner
Mac Jones - 3rd
Najee Harris - 5th
2021: Bryce Young - Winner
Will Anderson - 5th

2020 offense had four finalists including two winners. Wow.

I know that it's only hypothetical but you'd have to think that Jaylen Waddle would have been in the conversation had he not gotten injured. He was arguably more electric than Devonta.

If Jaylen Waddle doesn't get injured I think it likely Mac Jones wins the Heisman because the numbers Smith put up in the second half of the season would have been spread out between the two of them.

I found it interesting that Saban's Heisman winners all had different offensive coordinators (McElwain, Kiffin, Sark, BoB).

you are a horrible Alabama fan if you're even an Alabama fan at all.

oh yeah, and if you can't even remember what you say (I doubt this) when you drink, then you have more problems than pretending to be a fan on a message board.

He said he hated this team

I don't remember posting the thread, but I'm sure this is what I meant. The 2021 version of Alabama had pissed me off worse than any Alabama team going back to probably 2006. The way we played against Auburn, combined with the massive amount of alcohol I had been drinking during the game, probably caused me to lash out in a negative way. And I still hate them. Even if they win it all they are single-handedly responsible for shaving a few years off of my life. And that I cannot forgive.

He's been posting Alabama game videos for years.

He's a fan.

Having 5 top 5 finishers over a 2 year stretch is crazy.

I realize I don't have to justify myself, but I was born and raised in Alabama by two parents who are lifelong Alabama fans - one of whom attended Alabama in the late-70s/early-80s. My first Alabama game was in 2000 vs. Vanderbilt. I lived through some horrible times and have vivid memories of Franchione dropping the rope, Price dropping his pants, and Shula staring at the TV screen like a deer in the headlights. I also attended Alabama and graduated from that institution in 2012. Not once in the years that I went there did I miss an Alabama home game - and that includes such losses as ULM, the Camback, and the Game of the Century. I also have several hundred highlight videos spanning 25 seasons on my YouTube channel that highlights Alabama's victories and defeats in those particular seasons.

So, yeah. I'm a horrible Alabama fan because this particular team pissed me off for failing to play up to their abilities for the majority of the season. If I came off as abrasive or too over the top, I apologize. But I'm not going to hide my feelings for this team just because it's expected of me as a fan. "Fan" is short for fanatic and I am quite fanatical about the Alabama Crimson Tide - so fanatical, in fact, that they make me hate them from time to time.
