That's why this shite ain't gonna work. Thanks to Delta, being vaccinated does not prevent you from contracting or spreading the disease. And as the CWS showed, the NCAA ain't playing around this year. You got too many positives, you can't play, game declared "no contest" and we move on. Now that could keep a team out of Atlanta or out of the playoffs. Or they'd better come up with a booster to address variants pretty damn quick.

I’d like to see the vaccine get some more time under its belt. A very close friend of my family passed away from complications after the vaccine. That was a tough pill to swallow frankly.

If you have had the vaccine and do get the virus, your immune systems kicks in quickly and kills it off before you get very sick. And all of the covid 19 patients in the hospitals that were vaccinated, have a compromised immune system. A doctor said that 1 in 25 people at the games in Alabama this year will have covid, and if you have not had the vaccine, you will most likely get it--due to how aggressively this Delta strand is spreading. Its looking like we will have this crap to deal with for ever. This new strand is attacking those who have had the covid virus already. Apparently that doesnt create a strong enough immunity to stop the Delta virus.

Players that are vaccinated can also get covid as well.

And the safest driver on the team can still get rear-ended killed by an 18 wheeler on the interstate.

Being vaccinated does not stop people from getting covid. Players that are vaccinated can also get covid as well. A lot of misinformation being spread about this.

All of the people getting hospitalized and dying are not vaccinated.

We need to raise insurance premiums on non-vaccinated people to compensate for their ignorance.

Insurance companies don't make money by being stupid. Just wait. Don't be surprised when insurance companies start requiring proof of vaccination before they cover COVID related claims. And why the hell shouldn't they?

If I were a player, if getting vaccinated helps the team avoid testing and possible players have to sit, or something like the NC State fiasco, I’d consider doing it.

However, I’ve had covid twice, beat it both times just fine, and so I recognize that my perspective is biased and may differ from someone that doesn’t know if they’ve had it. The vaccine appears to have little value to me outside of arbitrary social acceptance. That being said, I’m not big on people being forced or coerced to take a vaccine that isn’t FDA approved (not saying Saban is doing that). Everyone should be allowed to make their own personal decision and not pressured into something they don’t fully trust.

It is working. 99% of the patients in the hospital are NOT vaccinated. Good Grief!!! And Doctors say you are twice as likely to end up in the hospital with this Delta strain than the first C19 virus. The doctors consider 95% success a freaking miracle.

What is NOT working is reaching herd immunity. Not enough people vaccinated to reach herd immunity.

Now, the next variant of Covid might break through on the current vaccines. They say there are 2 more out there that are worse than the Delta virus. Who knows where we will end up with this crap.

It’s probably closer to 90% actually.

There’s not any real way someone could make that claim right now. Way too early and not enough data.

Sounds an awful lot like current vaccines may not be effective enough one way or another at that rate. Just going to give people more hesitation to get the current vaccine when you consider:

1. Still need to wear a mask after vaccination
2. Can still get covid after vaccination
3. Vaccinated people are still getting hospitalized
4. Vaccinated people are still dying

Not really putting out a very convincing argument at the moment to get the prick tbh
