And, I, second only to Saban himself in beloved popularity around here, am also pretty liberal. I'm more of an independent than a democrat though.

I've never known Saban to interject his political views when it comes to coaching. I came here to talk sports, not politics. Just letting you know...

Me either. He may have publicly talked about politics but if he did, I missed it. He seems fairly pointed to me, and it's in the direction of his football team.

He doesn't like to. Every once in a while he will let something slip, but it's normally not an explicit statement.
I know fairly recently he has expressed his support for protest movements (Kent State made a big mark on him) and made a few comments about (loosely paraphrased) "unqualified people using B.S. to find themselves in positions of power" around last November.
