I try to show my appreciation by not trying to replace him before he's ready to go. And I'm wishing him a long and prosperous 25 years at the Capstone. You do the math.

shite. You think you have it bad. I first became a Bama fan when my dad took me in the den to watch an Oklahoma game RIGHT AS Tyler Watts fumbled a pass.
That’s literally my first memory as a fan. Nobody can tell me I’m a Walmart bandwagoner I was born into shite football play and now I’m cashing in the checks for my devotion as a fan.

I still celebrate reaching 6 wins.

Me either . Been going to Bama games since late 70s... seen the good and bad

The good news is that when Saban retires in 8-10 years we won't have to hire anyone like Mike Shula as a replacement.

Biggest crutch was our reliance on the Bryant coaching tree. Stallings was the exception, but Dubose was a problem that compounded itself.

Why are you rockin' the Nittany Lion?

I actually wanted Mike “ it’s a tremendous challenge but also a tremendous opportunity” Dubose to get the job . Sitting in stands for SEC CHAMPIONSHIP in 99, I thought we were headed for big things ....

I was there with my dad for that game

I originally did it cause I think the logo is pretty cool. But after a while when I trolled people they thought I was a penn state fan and started calling me a child molester when they got mad for me calling their team garbage not realizing it’s just there for shits and giggles.
Poor noobs.

Although he never coached a single game lets not forget how this beautiful lady got us Shula.
All jokes aside. I'll always appreciate Shula for coming here when no one else would.

My undergraduate football record was 33-30 (17-23), an average season of 7-6 (yes 5 years I transfered in after 1 year of small school baseball).
I did get 2008 in grad school, though.

Been watching or listening to BAMA football since Coach Bryant's heydays in the 70's! First game in person, 1981. Saw the Perkins, walked on under Curry, walk on under Stallings, watched DuBose, then 3 months of Mike Price, the confusion of Mike Shula, and now the GOAT! I don't take any win for granted.

Basically my whole family grew up Bama fans. Used to watch games all the time with my family as a kid and go tailgate at games. Even tho we sucked at the time, the atmosphere/tradition was just incredible and I was immediately hooked. First game I attended was the season opener against Utah State in 2004. Had the time of my life. Then I went to the Music City Bowl against Minnesota later that year and we lost lol. So I got a taste of the good and bad in person and stuck with it knowing one day they’d be good again. Never thought I’d see THIS much success tho.

I remember getting super excited when we made the USA Today preseason top 25 poll.
I might've cut out the Anniston Star headline: "Zow Wows!" and taped it to the wall in my room...

Just seeing a photo of Mike Clappy Dubose brings my piss to a boil.

My first season was 2004. My understanding is that I missed the worst of it.

None of us on this board knows real suffering: My Dad was at the Capstone for all three years of Ears Whitworth's tenure including the stellar 1955 season where The Crimson Tide went 0-10. Didn't win a single game
