Alabama linebacker Mekhi Brown, the player who drew attention to himself during the national championship game when he attempted to attack a Crimson Tide assistant coach, has transferred to Tennessee State, according to a university source.

As a result of the incident in the national championship game against Georgia, Brown will have certain stipulations he must meet before being allowed to join the football team at TSU.

Sucks. The guys who play well on special teams usually are the guys who turn out good.

Probably best for all parties. Good luck to him.

Only in the sense of fitting them into the 85 limit, not an extra spot for recruiting.

Did we ever get the story about why he was so upset?

Knew this was a matter of time . Attacking a coach is over the top

He couldn't break the 2 deep 3 years in, even with 2017's injuries.

Sounds like he was headed there regardless of what happened on the sideline last Monday.

And the guys who try to physically assault assistant coaches on the sideline during a National Championship game usually turn out bad.

Build a wall around that Georgia program full of Georgia players, and you know what you've got ?

A prison.

Brown had actually applied and was accepted at TSU a month before the Georgia game

I had heard that but he was going to ride it out and see how the end of year looked. Well we know now.

Won't be the only one. Four more spots need to open up if Bama plans to take 23 in this recruiting class plus Parks.

14 seniors graduated
5 juniors jumped
1 transfer so far
That is 20.

Look for players that will be seniors next year to leave as grad transfers.

Keif
Clark
Casher
Holcombe

Are all possibilities.

Dallas Warmack
Ben Davis

They might leave, but family connections will likely keep them around.
