He also managed to lose to a 5-5 unranked ASU team with the playoffs on the line

It happens especially with young coaches. But, the future is bright at Oregon because Mario recruits the offensive and defensive lines very well.

We managed to lose to Clemson by 4 touchdown with a title on the line.. I give it all a pass.

And 2 games in our revenge tour. Both with playoffs on the line

If Super Mario had gotten everything out of his team he would be representing the Pac 12 in the playoff. Justin Herbert is no more and sustained success is so hard to do.

And lastly, Phil Knight is going to make this guy a deal he can't refuse anyway.

I like his fire on the sideline. Throwing the headset was Saban like.

Is there really a difference between losing to a 5-5 unranked ASU and an 8-3 Auburn when it's a loss that keeps you out of the playoffs? I don't think there is but that's just me.

Between the two Cristobal seems like a better direction than Pruitt right now. I mean I like JP but all the adulation thrown at him this year is pretty crazy.

Cristobal seems more steady right now and he recruits at a super high level. I need to see more from Pruitt.

I do think the decision makers probably are going to prefer Pruitt IF he can continue to show progress.

In terms of results, no. In terms of how hard it is to frick up that badly, yes. Are you kidding me?

Nike will throw all kinds of money at Mario but I think eventually he will return to the South. He'd leave for Alabama to be the head coach I believe. Plus, it's good to see a guy that I followed in college become one of the best young coaches.

Mario will be in the playoff soon enough. Oh, and that Arizona State team is another team on the rise.

Well, congrats I guess. I'd rather have a disciplined, fundamentally sound, physical, kick-arse team that occasionally gets unlucky. (Not that Cristobal wouldn't develop that, but I'm focused more on your comment that all you care about is results)

We don’t even have that, right now.

But, I’d rather have it, too.
