I know he’s entered the transfer portal but is he still in the team? He was behind Jobe to begin the season so the talent must be there. If he’s still on the roster he could be needed for the playoffs.

Not on roster on RollTide.com.

Could he return? I suppose. But JAD and Kool-Aid look to be the clear starters next year and I'm sure he wants to go find a featured role somewhere.

But JAD

JAD could decide to go pro if he gets a 2nd round grade. That’s where my head was at. Sometimes the opportunity a guy is looking for is right where he currently is. It’s a moot point if he’s off roster though.

I don't know. JAD was solid but not sure he's that high of an NFL guy right now. We will see. If he were, I wouldn't blame him for going.

Jackson seemed to be the next guy up toward the end of this season, but a lot can happen over spring and summer.

Jackson's PT has gone way up. While at the same time, Saban seems willing to put Kool-aid in tough situations and matchups. I expect Kool-aid is going to lock down the CB#1 role for the rest of his time on campus, starting against Cincinnati.

I think once Banks hit the portal he is no longer practicing etc...

Going to be JAD/Kool-Aid/Khyree in the playoffs

I think we're all kind of assuming so based on the guys here who usually update injuries as well as Saban saying he was day-to-day heading into the UGA game. Granted he didn't play, but you'd have to think that essentially a month off will allow him time to get healed up.

He helped save our asses in the Iron Bowl. He is going to be a star.

From what I read on the NCAA site, once they enter the portal they're off the team and all financial aid ends at the end of the current term.

Also, it isn't like a basketball player declaring for the draft and then withdrawing. A player simply can't pull their names out, show up at practice, and say "I'm back." The school has to agree to let them return. There are hundreds of kids losing free educations because they give into the siren song of the portal.

Of the 480 Power Five scholarship players 247Sports studied from the 2019-20 cycle, only 26.5% of them stayed as a scholarship player on a P-5 roster. Another 26.3% signed with a G-5 program. Overall, 47.2% of P-5 scholarship athletes went to the FCS, junior college ranks or did not find a landing spot.

)Out of 47.2 percent, I would assume around 35 to 37 percent didn't find a landing spot.

Banks is good enough to find a landing spot but he was 2nd team. He was one injury away from starting. He’s maybe missing the biggest stage of his career because he was impatient?

There seems to be some pretty strong rumors that JAD is out for the playoffs also. Jimmy at on3 said something along the lines of "nothing has been officially announced but if he were to predict our starting corners for the playoffs it would be Kyree Jackson and kool-aid "

Not worried one bit about our corners with Irving and Kool-Aid given our now relentless pass rush from both sides and up the middle and our rush D and the next 2 offenses we will face next.
