What the world? These four guys didn’t think it wasn’t important enough to go to a TEAM function. Could spell big problems down the road. Hope they get the message it is TEAM FIRST.

Jump to conclusions much? Let’s let things play out before we make a bunch of paranoid assumptions that indicate, perhaps, we take kids playing football a little too seriously.

You get upset because I state the truth. What other reason did they miss the meeting? Flat tire? Wouldn’t have been suspended if it was legitimate reason.

You didn't state any truth. You don't know shite about the situation and you just jump to conclusions that you pull out of your arse. You're like a teen girl

It was a movie, not the end of the world. Don’t crucify kids for missing a silly arse movie. The whole thing is just a way for Saban to send a message anyway.

Even if they just up and forgot shite happens. To consider this as some indictment of their character or work ethic is a stretch

Keyboard badasses are a dime a dozen. They wouldn't have the guts to trash the players to their faces.

Time to shut it all down and pump all the money into hockey.

I agree we need to wait and see the whole story but these two comments are flat out wrong. It would be impossible for them to forget. Every thing they do is scheduled. EVERYTHING. They are given schedules that detail everything from classes, to team meetings, to workouts, down to bedtime. The second comment is probably the most concerning. “It’s just a movie”. While in theory yes, it’s just a movie. When looking at the big picture, it’s an assigned team function. A function for a team that these guys are supposed to be leaders of. Not a good look. Especially for the younger guys who see the leaders actions.

Imagine your Boss scheduling a mandatory work function. Then the manager of your department doesn’t show up. Not a good look.

This just shows the tDecline is real. Saban has lost the team! You should just stop worrying about Alabama football and find something else to invest your time in. It’s all down hill from here. We’re just a few years away from being LSU.

You realize these guys have printed schedules, GA’s in constant contact with them, and are reminded daily by every other player and coach on the team right? It’s not a “hey, next Tuesday we’re watching a movie”.

Yes. I also realize that these are college kids with a billion other things going on.

I’m not disagreeing with that at all. Simply saying we have people on staff whose job is to make sure these kids don’t forget. Not the end of the world by any means.

And these guys aren't teenagers anymore. All of them are upper classmen in their 20s. Time to be leaders and set the right example and get their priorities in line.

I'm not sure I understand everyone making excuses for them. I thought the backsliding at the end of last year would have been enough to get the message across. Commit, buy-in, do your job; it really isn't that hard. I can't imagine an excuse for the 4 of them that would have been good enough.
