....and to not slide 3 yards short of the 1st Down marker on a critical 3rd Down.

The thought of Mac Jones starting against LSU or Auburn gives me a slight panic attack.

He slid so he didn’t get popped by the 2 defenders standing on the line.

You kidding, Clark? Tualia has been here since, what, the spring?

He was an early enrollee. Are you saying Freshman QBs can’t have success? Who won the NC the last 2 years? It’s 2019 dude, look around. Taulia is a natural playmaker who has a similar mojo as his brother. He plays with high energy, and is a crisp passer

Maybe we’ll see the return of the jet sweep next week to help Mac out.

Look at how bad Teddy looked against the Rams when being thrown into the game without preparation. Look at Teddy since being the man every day at practice and receiving proper reps. Mac will throw for 250+ and 3 TDs this week.

Well, if you already lost one QB to injury, how bad would it look to lose the backup because he didn't slide to pick up a first down?

Look, I'm not saying that Mac can't get it done, per se, but I'm just saying that having Taulia is a very viable option.

Nick is going to have to make a decision this week on Taulia 's redshirt plan. We'll see.

Taulia has only played in two games. He could get reps vs Arky & WCU and still redshirt.

Mac is capable

2010 Alabama redux with McElroy 2.0 at the helm. Capable of scoring against mediocre defenses, passing attack disappears against decent defenses. First-round NFL talent surrounding him goes to waste.

Seen this movie before, no thanks. Hopefully Chavis gets his guys up and a new QB is put in at half time. Better to know now than in three weeks.

You guys are hilarious.

The old rule was the backup QB was the most popular player, and it is still holding true but for a generational talent like Tua.

People are calling for the backup's backup.

Yes, but it is not just Sark’s playbook. The offense has elements of Saban’s overall scheme and carryovers from such things as the RPOs. Mac has experience of running things more so than our true freshmen. That said, if he doesn’t lose the deer in the headlights look and loosen up, then I have my doubts about him. In the end, though, I trust the coaches.

Speaking of Sark. Anyone else think that our all white coaches uniforms made him look like “Dr. Evil”?

That and his fake throws on the hand offs were hilarious.

Those had me laughing too. Very Auburn like.

Mac just needs to manage the game. Expect a lot of blitzes and try to stay out of 3rd and long.

If that is done . . . Bama wins by 35.
