Nope, the purpose of the line is to get equal betting on both teams.

A line around 25 points or less and most people with be betting Bama. Put it at 30 and people start questioning if Bama can cover.

Clemson was just about a 20 point favorite over a highly ranked A&M team. Bama will be much more then that over a bad SC team.

It’ll be pretty high. They didn’t look good against UNC. Plus Bentley is out.

Per VegasInsider the line opened at Bama -21 and then moved to -24.

Anybody with eyes knows that SoCar is better with their current QB than Bentley. He will not get his job back when healthy, as Bentley never progressed past what he was as a freshman. I call it Jake Browning Syndrome.
