Some of you know I have been worried about nose tackle this year replacing Payne in the middle. I said an undersized Williams wouldn't be up to the task but after reading the latest bol article and reading Saban's updates on him he is being described as a freak. Still have to play but it appears as if I was worrying for nothing as usual and I am pumped to see the line now that the middle may be elite again.

I don't know much about him. Hope you're you and Saban are right.

I don't know one thing, though..

Alabama will Alabama have a top rush defense and I highly doubt they ever give up more than 120 ypg on the ground under him. Ever.

He’s balling I hear, plus isn’t Phidarian Mathis looking good too?

Mathis

Haven't heard a peep about him but we need him to step up and play quality minutes for depth. Some folks here tried to talk him up to me during one of my pants but not sure where their optimism was coming from

I think we will be surprisingly stout (I mean we are always stout) in the defensive line. Williams, Dwight, Ray and Mathis are all going to have strong years. If Musika can get up speed and Baramore gains so experience, look out.

lol why would you get 4 down votes for this thread? This board is odd.

Williams looked really good Saturday. Mathis did as well. We are priming to make a run here.

They can’t upvote or downvote unless they’re part of this board

I imagine his post history has something to do with it.

You are absolutely right bro but it is lame. I always downvote or upvote the post not the poster. Not sure why anyone else would do the opposite. But hey, to each his own.
I think I can live with a few downvotes if Williams goes beast mode this year. Downvote the hell out of this one if it means Mathis can at least be serviceable.

Appreciate it. I really don't mind downvotes. I vote based only on the quality of the post. There are a couple folks here that I don't really like that much but I don't downvote their post because of it. I downvote it because the post was shite.

Williams looked good every time he got in the game last year. He was making tackles, hurrying the the QB, or disrupting things.

Upvote then downvote as you see fit but I’d still prefer he be 300+ lbs

NT is setting up to potentially be a stength - with decent depth for the first time in a while. I am excited to see them play.

By all accounts, Q is going to be a monster. With Mathis starting to come into his own and Musika being better than anticipated, we actually should be pretty stout on the interior of the DL this year. I also think Wynn will eventually end up inside. That dude looks huge.

Quinnen really looked disruptive last season, I think he’ll make some noise in a bigger role this season

The people who are right always get downvoted. Unless you're illiterate, or personally attacking someone, you're probably getting downvoted because you're bringing up valid points that aren't necessarily sunshine and rainbows

I've got a question for folks....not to offend or be confrontational, but what good or harm is an up vote, or a down vote?
