It appears that we have a solid outside group that is two deep. Possibly three deep depending on a couple of guys.

Lewis
Miller
Jennings
Anoma when he learns the little things.
Chris Allen
James Mosely
Jarez Parks

That is a quite a few able bodies with lots of experience and lots of potential from a couple of new guys, specifically Anoma. Not worried here.

I think that Moses and Wilson are as good a duo as anybody else in America but I worry about depth behind them. We need at least two guys to step up and relieve those two without losing too much production.

Is Benton working inside? How about Cowan, that kid has a huge upside?

I think if depth works out on the inside then our unit will be elite again and may be elite regardless.

Heard Cowan and Benton might be suspended on this board for a while.

We've all been waiting for Miller to shine, he's good but I think Jennings and Lewis will overshadow him.

We had 4 premier linebackers injured for the year last year and still won the national championship don’t you worry your little head CD.

I hope that this is the year where we finally have a record-setting, redefining-the-conversation pass rush. This depth at OLB is akin to the Dline depth from 3 years ago. I hope we unleash 4 Qs of Hell each and every Saturday on opposing QBs.

Regarding ILB, I think Moses and Wilson are as athletic of 2 young ILBs as we could possibly hope for. I feel the sky's the limit for both.

For the record, do not count me among those who think we'll take a step back defensively this year. I think we'll be nasty from Jump Street at all 3 levels. Speed e'rywhere.

I think our defense will be nasty as well at all 3 levels. Also looking forward to see what Tosh's style is. I like his energy on the sidelines - it's reminiscent of Muschamp

It's pretty simple-

Either Benton and Cowan are eligible, and can provide depth/snaps, or Bama is as screwed at ilb as they were olb last season.

Mcmillon, davis, moody are not going to provide what the fans are used to seeing at ILB. A lot riding on Benton and Cowan.

Speaking of, I haven't heard anything about either having suspensions on the horizon from the bama beat folks I follow. Jus sayen.

Speaking of pass rush, I'm really interested to see how our 3 down lineman + the Jack do with Coach Kul as the line coach.

Heard so much good about him, I hope we see a noticeable difference with the front. If that is the case, it will take a lot of pressure off our young secondary and allow them to get some valuable experience for the tougher games near the end of the season.

I think our toughest games will be aTm, LSU, and of course, Auburn.

Miss St has the most talent they've had in decades. I get your focus on LSU, but Miss St could be the 2nd best team in the West. Strong on both lines, very good defense, return a good QB, and best skill depth in decades.

If the regime change doesn't hold them back, watch out for Miss St.

Jennings can deliver a big hit. Plenty of talent.

Well at least it's a home game and there will be no cow bells if it's a tough game.
