Wouldn’t that be something if we did that and blew them out to start the year? Their national championship magic would be wiped away.

There's little reason to play a hard OOC under the playoff. I'd rather the guys be motivated to get that shot the whole year.

I disagree. We need a game or two that forces urgency BEFORE late November.

Do we? Seems like we've been fine in the past, but I guess Ole Miss was good for several of those years.
That said what happened last night has nothing to do with who we played in September. We played a team that was better on both lines, and they dominated us.

I'd rather them have an entire season of being the team having all the praise heaped upon them, while we're the team with the chip on our shoulder. Then let's meet up in the playoff again.

This isn't like the typical Saban losses where the other tean has a fluke/miracle go their way. Bama's not ready to blow this team out. If the offense doesn't commit suicide every possession (and losing Locksley will go a long way to stopping that), Bama would have a shot in a shootout. But they're not blowing out this team until they get some different defensive personnel.
