Last rumor I heard everyone is a go except Dickerson of course.

But Ray is up and down. They thought he would play against ND

Labryan Ray's injury and/or recovery is one of the strangest things I can remember. I hate he has had to deal with it so long. I wish him well and hope he can somehow contribute Monday night!

No one ever told me what kind of injury Dickerson suffered.

I believe they said it was an ACL tear but not 100% sure.

I don’t know dickerson’s exact injury but he sure seems to be moving just fine without the aide of crutches. No brace either that I can tell.....

He had a pretty significant compression sleeve and brace on it during the Joe Moore Award presentation.

Tolerance and level of severity goes a long way with walking on ligament injuries. Running and moving laterally is a whole different monster though.

Is Ray’s injury something that will have to be addressed in the offseason with further treatment or surgery or something? Dude has missed nearly the whole damn season with an injury that has seemingly been day to day for the whole year.

I’m past expecting any meaningful contribution from Ray for his career. If he does manage to pull it together and help I will godly be pleasantly surprised.

Have we ever been given a clear explanation about what is going on with Ray?

He has missed virtually all of the last 2 seasons now with injury.

Is the injury this year the same as the injury last year, or is this year something different?

If different, neither of them have been a serious, “he’s down on the field,” walk/cart him to the locker room injury.

But yet they have cost him 2 full seasons.

Thought this was an elbow injury this year but you are right. I can’t keep up with his ailments . The kid has had bad luck for sure

Hope Smith has an impact tomorrow

Saban gives updates on Jaylen Waddle, injuries before title game (BOL)
quote:

“Malachi Moore is probably still very questionable for the game,” said Saban in a joint press conference with OSU coach Ryan Day. “LaBryan Ray is probably a little bit more probable. He’s been able to practice this week, and hopefully we’ll get some contribution from him.”

Moore, a freshman defensive back, did not play in the Rose Bowl semifinal against Notre Dame after sustaining an undisclosed (back) injury against Florida in the SEC Championship Game. A starter in the first 11 games, Moore was replaced at Star by fellow freshman Brian Branch.

Ray, a redshirt junior defensive end has missed five games with an elbow injury he suffered in practice leading up to the Georgia game. In his six appearances this season, including three starts, Ray is responsible for 11 tackles, half of a sack and one quarterback hurry.

Saban also provided an update on wide receiver and returner Jaylen Waddle, who was cleared to practice Tuesday and has a chance to play in the national championship game after suffering a fractured ankle against Tennessee on Oct. 24 and missing the last seven games.

“He has been able to practice to some degree,” Saban said of Waddle. “I think the biggest challenge is can he sustain in the game, and it’ll be a game-time decision as to whether he thinks he can play and go out there and do his job well enough to contribute to the team, and we won’t know that until we get out there after pregame warmup.”

In addition to Saban, Day was asked how Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields has performed in practice after absorbing a big hit in the Buckeyes’ Sugar Bowl semifinal win over Clemson.

“Justin has had a good week of practice,” Day said Sunday. “He’s done a really good job preparing, and I think that’s the thing that he felt like he did a good job going into last game, was just preparing at a high level, and he’s continued to do that this week.”
