Clemson basically starts at the 50 and easily scores to go back up.

Huge turning point.

Every big mental mistake was a huge turning point. We had about 10 of those. Clemson none.

If there was a mistake in the game......we made it. Clemson didn’t do anything wrong all night. We didn’t play well enough to win AND screwed ourselves all night.

Did Clemson even have a single penalty all night?

I’ve never seen a blowout in a game like this where the refs didn’t “give” the losing team a call. I’m not saying it wouldve mattered but I guess the REC didn’t send those checks.

Refs generally eat their whistles in huge games like this. Could have called them for holding and PI a couple times but those kind of missed calls aren’t unexpected. They just sacked up and executed and we didn’t.

Lol, that's right. Dang, they really did execute to near perfection tonight. It doesn't get any better than that.

I mean getting dominated on the LOS doesnt help and you guys could not get any pressure and when you did you got burned. Fact is you were outcoached and outplayed from the start. Tua cannot even distinguish between zone and man and you guys recorded no sacks.

It was nice to actually see a holding call thats a rare sight right?

Opening drive of the half and the fake field goal was a killer also. We all said Kirby was an idiot for running a fake punt when we were in punt safe. Well, we ran a fake field goal with our 3rd string QB when they only were rushing 4.

This might be a bit hyperbolic, but it’s actually a valid point. It seems like Tua has developed tunnel vision.

He wasn't going through progression - he was just reading pre-snap and going with it

Herbstreit was talking bout it on the first INT, but he was incorrect. Then the people who watch take it as gospel and start repeating it.

On the opening INT, Tua saw zone and thought Jeudy was going to sit down on the route. That's why the ball was three feet behind him and it was such an easy pick. It had nothing to do with a bad read from Tua (who I will admit did not play well last night, and the second INT was just a terrible case of him locking on to Jeudy and never coming off. The corner just read his eyes the whole way). It was a miscommunication between him and Jeudy.

I don't think that was zone. I think he threw a piss poor ball a half second too early.

Ya, but they schemed those to bait Tua I think. He does that a lot - pre snap read and he knows where he is going. When it works, its awesome (like the game winning throw last year, he didn't barely looked at Smith before throwing it) but Clemson was showing blitz and rolling their coverage in the first half last night.

You have to think that pick six the DB didn't just make a play and jump the ball on that - he was looking for exactly that and that was the call they made. Great scheming by Clemson on that. They burned them on the double move on a similar type play the next possession to Jeudy - the safety looked like he was going to try and jump the route.

Maybe. Throwing it that far behind Jeudy on a short pass is uncharacteristic. The guy over Smith came off him to make the pick.

Yes, because he didn't wait for him to get out of the way. You can see that he was following Smith at the snap, and at the moment Tua threw the ball, he was moving to the inside and was able to see both Smith and Tua. He could see Tua wasn't looking at Smith, which let the DB switch off Smith and jump down on the pass. He other DB was also going to the outside to cover Jeudy.

Even if it was zone and Jeudy decided to stop there, it was a bad decision to throw to him.
