He has the “it” factor and I cannot wait to see him this year. He will be a first rounder.

Hey I don't hate threads about how good waddle is, he almost single handedly won the Iron bowl for us.

Do we keep him as our return guy?
Obviously he is the best returner in the country, but also is clearly one of the best receivers. I wonder if we won't want to tire him out/give him unnecessary hits outside of lining up on offense. Saban doesn't have a history of this (Christian Jones, Cyrus Jones, Arenas), but things are changing in terms of player safety, the WRs behind him are largely unproven and I would think that Eddie Jackson comes to the coaches' mind when considering this.
There have to be plenty of guys on the team that would great returners (maybe not excellent like Waddle) but no one can match him at WR outside of Smith.

Hope we at least keep him at punt returner. He should get 15-20 touches a game, have to use him the way West Virginia used Tavon Austin.

With every punt he catches it is usually 10+ yard advantage Bama. You put the ball in your best playmakers hands - and he is BAMA’s most explosive threat.

Yes, keep him at PR and KR. He needs as many touches as possible.

That's fair. We'll just have to see what they do and hold our breath whenever he takes a special teams hit.

He averaged 20 yards a return. That's 2 first downs on every drive he starts with a return.
Hell yes we keep him.

Because of 20 returns (2019 number)? Less than two "unnecessary hits" per game?

He’s a football player - he can take it. Can’t live in fear. Do u wear a mask?

Yes, and Waddle wears a helmet.

Unless it's late, late in a ballgame and we're behind, really no need to have Waddle on Kickoffs. The way the rules are right now, even being able to fair-catch outside the endzone, decent starting field position is not that hard by. Punts are a different thing. They are dynamic backbreakers and we have the best in the country and it's not close. Waddle is a mercurial punt returner, like Davis Palmer, just more top speed. And a big shoutout to our punt return team. It was so much better in '19' than '18'. Jeff Banks getting the guys to block without penalties was a huge improvement.

Who, me?
What in the ever-loving f**k did I say to suggest he shouldn't return punts?
