Jalen didn’t have to do this but he did. Hes the GOAT when it comes to class.

Jalen will go down as one of my favorite Bama QB’s. I hated to see him go to OU but it’s what was best for him. The man is all class and hope the best for him going forward.

I didn't think I could like Jalen any more, but here we are.

Absolutely love it. Roll Tide Jalen Hurts.

I’ll say it....I like OU’s shade of crimson on their helmet better than our’s.
Really cool move by the way by Jalen & the Senior Bowl. People like Dan Wolken that don’t like this need to find another sport.

Thanks for the pics. I didn't want to watch the video on the link.

And Dan Wolken has to complain about it. It’s a special talent at this point.

Yeah and then he got immediately called out by a Senior Bowl exec, which was pretty cool. Apparently Jalen isn't wearing that helmet in the game but it was created for him by a charity for children as thanks for all the work he has done with them over the years. Basically Dan Wolken stuck his foot in his mouth and proceeded to eat all the way up to his knee.

Jalen will always be a Crimson Tider. If that's good enough for him, we should see him at Bama events over the years.
I do believe Jalen, at this stage, could write a book on the difference between the SEC and Big 12. I would personally love to know what it was like playing LSU without coach Saban standing on the sidelines.

I love this dude. He is such a positive guy - through faith, he KNEW there was a plan and purpose for himself and he never gave up.
We are truly lucky to have seen such great young men (in Jalen and Tua) serve as the leaders of our team for the last few years. Through victory and defeat, these guys have been nothing but shining examples of His blessings.

Throw in Jake Coker. You talk about perseverance. He came in as a graduate transfer to be the next big thing and grew up loving the Crimson Tide. Got overlooked somewhat at the same high school that gave us McCarron. Then he's told he has to sit behind a guy we were basically using for a running back and scout team QB.
He finally gets his big shot as a redshirt senior. He plays well vs Wisconsin in our big game OOC opener. Jake follows that up with a solid performance vs Middle Tenn St. Then Kiffin gets this incredible idea that Cooper Bateman should start against Ole Miss and we can do our Blake Sims 2014 imitation. Against an SEC team that was already giving our defense fits and beat us the year before. That Ole Miss team. After Bateman commits numerous turnovers and shows the world he's not near ready for prime time, we ask our "starter" to come back in and save us from the big bad rebels. Which he nearly does in spite of lucky bounces that deserve to be on an episode of "That's Incredible" and about 1000 turnovers.
This guy continued to handle himself with incredible "class" and when leading questions get sent his way about finally getting to play QB at Alabama, this guy says, "I'm just living the dream."
In spit of this incredible public humiliation, Jake leads the Crimson Tide into Athens with the rain blowing sideways and facing a Dawg team who had circled this game since 2012 and had seniors who stuck around just to get even with the Crimson Tide. Finally, finally, after almost 2 years of just trying to hang in there, you could finally tell coach Saban is giving some respect to Coker when he tries to shake his hand after the big win in the hurricane rain. To be honest it wasn't exactly one of the warmest, fuzziest moments I've seen in the exchange. Coker may have given away that maybe all wasn't forgiven. But, I'm not a great lip reader.
So many of these QBs have a story. Most handle it better than anyone has a right to expect. Jake Coker is my hero. And only he and Steadman Shealy will be the only 2 QBs at Alabama who never lost a game with them as starters.
Nobody put up with more horseshite and still gave us everything he had. And vs Georgia, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Auburn, Clemson, we needed every ounce of his arm and tough, tough, running. And that was even enough to win one of the greatest shootouts against a great QB in Deshaun Watson.
Jake Coker, will always be the epitome of CLASS.

Nice post.
But it wasn't raining THAT hard during the 2015 UGA game. It was a steady, cold rain, but it wasn't torrential.

Look again at the start of the game. It was blowing. It did get better as the game went on. And perhaps you are a better lip reader than me? What did Coker say to coach Saban coming off the field?

It was pretty rough

I definitely could be mistaken. I thought I remembered it being a constant medium rain.

I really don't recall, I wonder if there is a video somewhere?
Coker was definitely the man. Great football player.
That 2015 UGA game was so sweet. So much egg on their face after they pulled this stunt before the game:
