LINK

This is simply for the few Bama fans that think Jalen Hurts is actually a good QB.

This is a great breakdown of our QB play under Hurts. It's harsh but it's the truth.

People think a guy that can’t throw a football is a good QB?

I was going to post this but I felt like it was a little harsh considering the competition is basically over. It’s funny as hell though. Just a bit too harsh.

Yeah this guy is funny with his comments. "Wounded duck coming at you at 90mph, thrown behind"

Very funny video, and he's right. At the end of the day it just hasn't clicked for Jalen as a passer, and that sucks because he's great and all, but unless something has changed he's just not a passer and I think it's fine to leave it at that. The only annoying thing now is people having to shite on him all the time just because he can't pass. Though I guess the people on the other end are annoying too, who confuse the criticism for shitting on him. But to be fair a lot of people won't stop at criticism and turn it into shitting on him.

Anyway, funny video, that guy was hilarious.

I mean, that breakaway speed is impressive.

Julio Jones has great breakaway speed as well...doesn't make him a good QB.

I agree, I can't see Saban not picking him as the starter. It is way safer and easier to have your QB carry the ball into the end zone then throw it everywhere. There is no way Hurts doesn't win the job.

Julio is a great QB but throws too many interceptions in practice like a Hawaiian I've heard of.

The passes he missed in the Clemson game were incredible. Making guys streaking wide open across the field come back and dive for balls.

Alabama should have scored 41 on them.

I'm just wondering when Tua takes over what all of the pessimists going to obsess about?

IF Tua wins the job which is unlikely, however it will be either Tua isn't being allowed enough attempts or Jalen is holding a football on the sideline Tua could be throwing.

One of the best things he says in the video is something along the lines of why is it that no one is open to throw to with Jalen in the game so he takes off running, but when Tua comes in he's always finding someone. And Jalen just doesn't have the ability to see the field like a good passer. Spatial ability or whatever it is called.

We did make a lot, way too many, excuses for Jalen last year. "The line won't protect for him!" Jalen took off running when there was no pressure. "Receivers are dropping passes!" well sure, all QBs deal with that, did you know that Tua dealt with a higher percentage of drops than Jalen? And I'll say this, I believe if the WR gets his hands on it, sure, he should catch it. But a lot of drops with Jalen were from badly placed balls receivers had to adjust on.

I think we all believe Jalen will be gone after this season, and he'll play well somewhere if that happens. He's a fantastic runner from the QB position, and he does have a strong arm, even if he lacks touch/accuracy and other natural passing abilities.

BUT my hope is he stays here and switches positions, because he is smart enough to know he has no future in the NFL as a Quarterback, but he's such a great athlete that there may be a spot for him. Maybe use him like Braxton Miller in 2015? An H-Back/WR hybrid, and then hell you can run some trick plays off of it. He obviously wouldn't have big numbers there because we're already loaded with offensive weapons, but at least he'd be able to put some stuff on tape to help him at the next level.

I get the eerie feeling that Tua, who we need to remember has never started and may hit some growing pain roadblocks, will have an iffy stretch at some point, and people will come crawling out of the wood work like "See! Tua was never that good!". Over reactions are just the way it is, I think Tua lights it up, but I just get that feeling he'll have some moments that'll make crazy people, well, be crazy.

Yeah, I didn't say it did, but the guy is a phenomenal athlete and could contribute if he would accept a different role on the team.
