Jalen is a good QB with limitations. Please stop using Tua's moment to poo poo Jalen's achievements.
25-2 is impressive any way you look at it.

Hurts finished 26-2 as a starter. It will always sound good telling other people that.

Wrong because Jalen Hurts did. The Bama team won all of those games despite bad quarterback play. Sorry but it's true.

Hell, he can even tell his grandkids he was 26&2 and won a national title at Alabama. Won't even be a lie. In fact, if he sticks around, he might even be able to tell them he was 26&2 and won 2 (or maybe even 3) national titles at Alabama.

He wasn't bad in every single game, that is just disingenuous.

If you want to give him credit for 25-2 you have to conversely look at his performances(Mainly 3rd down conversions) against top 25 defenses.

Not the best example, but I remember Jalen Hurts being money in this past year’s MSU game. We lose it without him.

You also can't put that squarely on him. Is it his fault that loved to run crossing routes one yard too short or the WR dropped the pass on the slant?

You're right, you can't 100% put it on the QB. However, with Jalen at QB, our passing game requires near perfect execution by all positions to work. With Tua, it seems like we have a little more margin for error. JMO

Yeah, that was pretty much the source of all of the Jalen arguments on here over the past two years. There were some that simply gave him absolutely no credit even when he did some really good things.

I definitely agree with you on this.

I'd say in most games he was incredibly effective. Problem is that when you boil down to the top 3 or 4 teams in the country you have to excel in all parts of the game to win. Unfortunately, it's hard to win the biggest of games without a viable threat through the air. Especially so, if you find yourself behind a few scores.

Jalen Hurts was offensive player of the year as True Freshman but keep on believing the kid was terrible

All year long we kept hearing it's the receivers' fault or the linemen's fault or the coaches' fault. I even read a couple of posts that suggested it was the running back's fault for not blocking better. Whenever some posters would note that the offense was better with Tagovailoa, there was the trump card of "but that was after Hurts had beaten them down".
Monday night we produced 21 yards passing on 3 of 8 attempts, and 0 points in the entire first half.
Down 13-0 to start the 2nd half, with the same receivers, linemen, coaches, and playing against the same defense,Tagovailoa then directed a balanced offense, including 166 passing yards and 3 touchdowns to come from behind and win the game.
It was never primarily the fault of receivers, or the linemen, or the coaches, or the running backs. It was a lack of a real passing game.

I'm not saying it was anyone's primary fault, BUT ALL OF THOSE POSITIONS ARE INVOLVED IN THE PASSING GAME.

Obama won a Nobel Peace prize. Sometimes people win awards they don't deserve.

Bruce Jenner won women of the year too..lol
I still think Jalen was better his freshman year.. teams didn’t spy him as much and his legs carried us a few times. This year teams loaded the box and put a spy on him, it put it all on his arm which wasn’t his strength.

He was also in a system which played to his skills more last year IMO. 36 Total TD's, 2,700 yards passing and nearly 1,000 yards rushing is a pretty solid performance.

Jalen is the best Wildcat QB in college Football. His record speaks volumes.

Someon this board have already suggested that some did not try in the first half of the Georgia game and thereby undermined Hurts
Hurts Derangement Syndrome (HDS) is a mental disorder. I look for it to re-emerge in the Spring as some on here have already suggested some sort of epic quarterback battle to come. Ha.
