Do other fanbases hype incoming players as bad as Alabama fans? The idea that a player that has never played a SINGLE down in college football would be a better option than a proven commodity at the position just amazes me.

Trey Sanders might be the best back that ever walked onto Alabama's campus but it would be stupid to assume that now, before he's had a chance to actually play in a real game. Heck, he hasn't even practiced very much due to a season-ending injury! What would possess anyone to think that Najee staying isn't important because "We've recruited well at the position and are fine without him." I don't want to get into it in this thread but something similar is currently happening with Bryce Young.

It would be akin to saying "Who cares if Reuben Foster comes back for his senior season - we've got Ben Davis waiting in the wings so it's not going to make a huge difference, production wise."

There’s a part of me that believes BRob will transfer after spring. I believe he’ll get passed up by the younger guys

For the record George, I'm really suspicious that BRob has been dealing with a nagging injury since late Oct or early Nov, but do not have confirmation.

He was disappointing this year. Thought he would get more touches and show off his athleticism. I too think he may have dealt with an injury. I think he redeems himself next year.

Coach Saban said recently that Najee was always a very good back but his breakout success this year was due to his experience. He has learnt to trust the play and OL blocking. In other words go to the spot where the hole or crease is supposed to open even though you cannot see the opening.

Alabama RB Najee Harris will return for his senior season (BamaOnLine)

Alabama will have its leading rusher for one more season. Junior running back  Najee Harris will pass on the 2020 NFL Draft and return to the Capstone for his senior year, a source close to the program confirmed to BOL. Harris is not expected to make an announcement on social media like his Crimson Tide teammates. The Antioch, Calif., native has been back in Tuscaloosa since this past weekend. . .

Brian Robinson is not nearly the back that Najee is, IMO, he is not an SEC caliber back. He has good measurables in terms of speed and size but at this point does not have the vision or feet to take advantage. Najee, though slow, is freakishly athletic and powerful. He is a superior receiving threat with great hands and great route running skills. He may be the best 4-8 yard back in college football. He is a significant upgrade for Alabama. K. Robinson may be a terrific change of pace, who despite his size runs with as much physicality as a 185 lb back can. Trey had almost overtaken B. Robinson in his short time on the practice field but we don't KNOW what kind of runner he will be vs college competition because we haven't seen him. Assuming he has fully recovered, he is likely Bama's next big time back.

I admire B. Robinson for signing with his home school and never backing down from the competition. I hope it turns out well for him - maybe in a FB/HB type role.

I'd love for him to tack on 10 pounds and play the position the either Brad Smelley or Jalston Fowler did

Really enjoyed watching him develop as both and player and as a person. I expect big(er) things for him next year. Thin returning will definitely help his draft stock.
