I'm more confident in this team post-SECCG than I was before it

We took Georgia's best shot, played uncharacteristically poor for 60% of the game on both sides of the ball (credit Georgia with some of that, but other parts were just us being bad) and dealt with real adversity for the very first time all season. And we got back up, fought our arse off and found a way to beat one of the 3-4 best teams in the country.

I sure feel better about our backup QB

I'm still worried about our inside linebackers

I'm not there yet. I think this OU game is going to be a lot closer than people are anticipating.

I expect it to be a good game. We're at the end now, all that is left are good teams.

There is ALWAYS at least one game a season where a great team doesn't play great and/or runs into a team on fire and has to dig deep and come up with something special. You never know until it happens whether the super-talented team that is used to things coming easily will be able to do it. We know now. This team has will and heart along with all that talent.

Oklahoma will take full advantage of our linebackers, you can count on that! Mac will have to play and call his best game. Is 33 still hurt a bit...he just looked a little slower to me out in coverage?

I agree. I am so salty about the heisman situation though. Kyler is a great player but I’m 100% convinced tua walks away with it though if they had switched schedules. I looked at the 1st team big 12 defense and I don’t know if any would make the sec’s 2nd team defense. It’s gross. Just sucks tua lost af the very end.

Why does it matter? Just go win the championship

Championship first no doubt. But the heisman is still another great award that tua had in the palm in his hand. Just a shame is all.

This was huge. Easy to look good when you're steamrolling people. How do you respond in a fair fight? This team sucked it up and showed greatness.

I think we would have ended up playing OU regardless. I feel much better about facing them with a month to prepare vs what...8 or so days - all the travel time and media shite etc.

I just realized I hadn't paid attention at all to what his injury was. I saw him later in the game on the sideline with his helmet on as if he could play if needed, so I just assumed it was something that would be fine by the playoffs.

Guess I'll go look up the status on him.

He's got the same angle injury Jalen has, and had the same procedure done that Jalen had.

I agree completely. Last week I watched this clip of Teddy Atlas talking about Mike Tyson not being a great fighter because he was 0-5 in the fights that someone actually stood up to him. I know there is some animosity between them, but during the whole game I kept thinking about this clip. Does this team have the ability to “fight” in them or no? It’s long and don’t know if anyone cares to watch it, but it’s a great 25 minutes.

Teddy Atlas on Mike Tyson

I think many fans are over reacting to UGA success in the game and not considering our self inflicted struggles.
We basically stop there first possession and blew first in goal with three passes and tua holding the ball to long.
Locks play selection and Tua not giving it to Harris on the RPO were he almost walks in and were up 7-0.
Then next possession after making UGA punt again Irv drops a 40 or more yard gain and were back in scoring position.
So basically we could have been up 10-0 instead of trailing 7-0.Which we immediately responded with a scoring answer.
If we handle those first to opportunities Tua numbers are better out the gate.
Then makes UGA play from behind, for the first time at the beginning instead of us playing catch up like in title game.
Also like the title game we stepped up and UGA was 0-6 on there last 6 third down conversions until we had the lead with less than 2 minutes.
I wont say there running success does not bother me going forward. But watching the replay showed me we had a chance for a different beginning .
