I think we desperately miss Chris Allen.

I know it was only a half against Miami but we looked amazing with both him and Anderson out there.

Well yeah, he was probably the second best edge rusher in the SEC. It was a huge loss.

It certainly would have hidden a lot of problems with our defense but not solved them. If the offense could get a lead and allow them to tee off, lead to more turnovers, etc.

We've definitely seen mediocre NFL defenses use the above strategy to make a playoff run.

Allen is also a mean son of a bitch. We miss his attitude as much as his talent.

Is there ANY chance we get him back?

A quick Google search says recovery from a Lisfranc injury requiring surgery is between 3-5 months.

Even with a best case scenario he wouldn't be back until at least the SEC Championship Game and that is probably pushing it.

I wish, it was a big loss. His injury was foot fracture. I would think recovery would be 8-10 weeks with the level of treatment these guys receive.

Miami is probably gonna miss a bowl, and I think our problem is more inside linebacker play and secondary communication.

Allen was a big loss. Losing Sanders on top of Allen is just wrong. Hopefully we get Sanders back before the IB and if we could get Allen back for the playoffs (if we somehow miraculously beat Georgia) that would be a big bonus.

I was under the impression Sanders would be back on Saturday.

If not, he should definitely be back for LSU.

Have you seen their D? Have you watched our OL? Did you know Pete is still out DC? Yeah, if Saban beats the best UGA team in 40 years with this Bama squad he may deserve a second statue on campus.

We'll be fine against Georgia.

Wish I shared the confidence. Not sure it’s based on what’s been seen of both team thus far though. One team has looked dominant with a killer instinct while the other has looked pretty mediocre much of the season with a loss and another near loss.

We looked fantastic against what we perceived to be our biggest challenge.

Dare I say this team plays down to it's competition?

They won't come in with brain fog against Georgia.

You thought MSU was going to be our biggest challenge before the season? Most people circled TAMU and UF as our toughest games. Almost went 0-2 in those. I agree we looked great against MSU and to a lesser degree OM…but UGA is in a different stratosphere than either of those squads. They are dominant in the trenches and we seem weak there in both sides of the ball. Not saying it’s impossible but odds aren’t in our favor unless something changes between now and then.

Uh MSU? He clearly meant Ole Miss. And while UGA has looked great they haven't and won't face a single team that can pass until potentially us. And their offense is pretty one dimensional most of the time.

Their passing game has looked just fine to me. They have a TE that actually catches the ball to boot. We could use one of those.

I think they’ve looked pretty damn good with Drew Sanders. Problem is he’s out too
