I know some of you don't care, but for those of you who do, YouTube is really starting to crack down on uploading full games and highlight reels for NCAA football. This isn't surprising to me as but a year or two ago I received information that YouTube was working on doing just that as networks were starting to complain about full games being readily available on their website.

Stephen Barnett's channel was the first to go. That dude had a metric shite ton of college football games from the 1960s and into the present day. It was really sad to see his channel get terminated due to the plethora of content he had.

As for me, the last two highlight videos I have uploaded (2014 Southern Miss and 2014 Florida) have been blocked in all countries. As I don't just make these videos for me, and as no one but me can see them, I have decided to go on an indefinite hiatus until YouTube loosens its restrictions. I don't know if that will ever happen but, until it does, I'm sure you guys can gain access to the more modern stuff while continuing to watch my highlight reels of games from the 1990s and early-2000s.

Hate to hear this. I used to watch yours and others quite a bit. Have you given thought of sharing them via a Google Drive shared folder?

Thanks for doing those: Was a big fan of your You Tube channel and would always check out your new vids every time one got uploaded.

Too bad but no surprise to me. NCAA and the schools want to suck every last dollar from the fans. Real fans who just want to share things about Bama get shut out because of the money grab.

It probably has a lot to do with youtube launching their own streaming TV service.

Will Pornhub accept the 2014 Texas A&M game?

Hate to hear this. I really appreciated all your efforts. I know it had to be time consuming.

Maybe someone will come out with an alternative format for sharing.

Sucks man, you did great work.

Good news is the ones everyone really enjoys (or me at least) are the older ones that are harder to find.

Your business is yours and you can certainly do what you want, but why not use one of the many competitors of youtube that exist, notably Vimeo, Dailymotion, Metacafe, or Veoh? (There are many more, for the record.) Youtube is an evil pseudo-monopoly, so why not use another service?

This may be an odd comparison, but I remember the time years ago when the movie It's a Wonderful Life was aired all the time on many channels. For whatever reason the original producers of the movie didn't properly copyright it, thus it was allowed to be aired for "free". Generations became enamored with the inspirational movie, which is one of the all time best.
Now, NBC somehow gobbled up the rights to the movie, and it's no longer seen, except for 1 or 2 airings on the one network.
In another stretch, one could argue that this NBC decision is another reason this country is getting worse. No longer is the younger generation inspired by such the movie as It's a Wonderful Life

Have you thought about using Bitchute? It is a smaller platform but it is growing and will probably keep growing as long as Youtube continues to favor corporate content.

Really sad to see how evil and corporate YouTube has become. I miss the "Broadcast Yourself" days.

lol, that's proooooobably gonne be user (or user's wife) error.

RT87, I know you're done with the highlight vids but out of curiosity what did you use as your source material? Like how or on what medium did you have all these full length games to whittle down?

There are some admittedly older uga games (like over 10-15 years ago) that I'd love to watch highlights of but anything I can find on youtube is the full 4 hour game with grainy footage that's potato quality.

I found an Alabama fan who sells them in DVD form online. I was able to then purchase DVD ripper software that I used to copy the games straight onto my computer where I would then use iMovie or some other editing software to whittle the games down to around 20 minutes in length.
