This seemingly innocuous thread has turned into an exposé on Alabama fandom

It is also an expose on why Bama has struggled to maintain success in basketball

It’s football. Football is the sundae. Basketball is the whipped cream on top. If you leave it off I’ll still eat the sundae.

If you want a basketball title over football, or even worse if you want to trade the football success for basketball success - Go toss your junk in a blender, and make yourself a smoothie out of what is left of your manhood - drink it - poop it out - Now look at your blended up, digested, pooped out manhood in the toilet. Now go look up the best gender sex doctor in your area, and start shopping for your new vagina to complete your sex change.

Super underrated post.

I admit that I did not see that post until you brought it to my attention. I am pretty good at only seeing part of the picture at times. I am not aiming this at you or anyone in particular but this topic could have brought about conversation without finger pointing. It is just a question and any answer is strictly opinion and personal preference. Every mans opinion is the right answer to himself and to those who are like minded.

My apologies for responding without knowledge of the context of your post.

No problem, I do it all the time.

And, to be clear, I have no problem that some people's answer is "football." I love football, and some people don't care about basketball. I get it. I'm not calling those people mentally challenged futbaws. Just the guys who say the kind of bullshite up above.

Football. Why?

Because it will continue to cement us as the best football program ever

Winning a natty in basketball would be awesome. But it will just be won celebrated and eventually lack it's luster. Just look at Florida. They are an annual NCAAT team with back to back basketball titles. Yet, they are still widely regarded as a football school with a good basketball program.

I'd say that's because Donovan left and they haven't been that great since.

Basketball without hesitation

Damn right. I haven't been so excited about a sport in years compared to watching basketball this season. And knowing how close we were to getting to the Final 4, now I'm as hungry as a Muslim during a Ramadan in the summer. And Oats has this teams potential through the roof.

You're surprised that a lot of people would rather see something they have never seen than something they've already seen at least half a dozen times?

Would you rather frick Kate Beckinsale for a 7th time an average chick for the first time?

Football all the way. By far the most prestigious sport in college athletics.

Interesting question. Part of me wants to answer football.

But we're already the unquestioned GOAT Dynasty in football. I get we can pad that.

But we do not have the same legacy as, say, Florida or Kentucky when it comes to basketball.

If I had to pick one, I think it'd be basketball. Overall, the first basketball natty will mean more than the 19th football natty.
