If you want a basketball title over football, or even worse if you want to trade the football success for basketball success - Go toss your junk in a blender, and make yourself a smoothie out of what is left of your manhood - drink it - poop it out - Now look at your blended up, digested, pooped out manhood in the toilet. Now go look up the best gender sex doctor in your area, and start shopping for your new vagina to complete your sex change.

I'm a football man all day, every day, and the next day, however if we managed to win a NC in basketball it would undoubtedly feel more special and would make me feel happier overall than another football title

So your masculinity is defined by your fandom of football? Yikes.

If we could somehow add hockey and win the frozen four over the next 13 months, I'd take that over football as well.

I thought it was a funny way of stating what a bitch notion it is for the fanbase to be bored with football to such a degree that they are now ready to trade football success for basketball success right in the midst of the greatest dynasty in the history of football.

Alabama is the envy of every school in the nation thanks to the football program. Even the BB schools would trade all their BB success for our FB success in a heartbeat because FB is KING relative to collegiate sports.

Alabama sports has always and will always be carried by the football program. To openly declare a willingness to trade away what will be looked back on as the greatest dynasty in football history for basketball success is pure asinine. That sort of logic can only come from a fan that truly has no idea how special what it is CNS is achieving.

Basketball is fun, but football is the heartbeat of the south relative to sports, and is especially important to most everyone in the state of Alabama. I had a good time rooting for the BB team, and I'm happy to have a competitive team for the sake of the university and the pure BB fans that apparently exist, but to have a desire to end the football dynasty so that BB can have a moment is simply insane especially since it's not going to happen.

What was the FB equivalent to this years BB season ? Missing the playoff, and getting beaten by Michigan/UCLA in a bullshite bowl game that all the first round players opt out of playing in ?

Anyhow I know you BB dudes are grieving so I'll let myself out. Sorry to have gotten involved. This same thread happens every time the BB team gets a whiff of some small amount of success, and it's comical.

What if we're just a bigger fan of the basketball team than the football team?

I'm not bored with football. I just like basketball the same as football.

Nice rant,FOG.

No one is saying they want to “trade away football for basketball,” just that it would be nice to win championships in basketball (and every other sport we field). I’d settle for one basketball NC for every six football championships. I don’t think that’s too much to ask.

You’re kinda unhinged on this one, bruh.

You got issues which may include reading comprehension. No one said they want to completely trade football’s success with basketball’s. Just one title. It was even in the OP yet you missed that part. And not even swapping a FB title for a BB one. Just ONE of these years, it’d be exciting to win it all in BB even if it means (somehow) no FB title for that ONE year.

Pretty much

But I will say, once we put an "X" in the hoops title box, it will always be football after that.
