Hurts as a runner.

Watching the Louisville quarterback run on the noles leaves me a little envious. I haven't seen much of Hurts film so does he have any skills as a runner? He may be our key to running the ball while our OL matures.

Hurts can run with it no doubt.
But that QB at Louisville is crazy good. He is making Florida State look like aubren.

Hurts looks to be okay as a runner. He's enough of a threat to make opposing defenses account for it, but not enough to where he's going to shred a defense with his legs.

Yeah imo Hurts looks like a 4.7 guy when he runs. Running is not his strength but the kid can air it out with the best of em.

Hurts as a runner reminds me of Cam a little bit. He doesn't seem to run full speed to get as many yards as he possibly can, instead he tries to be smart and avoid big hits and follow blocks to pick up what is available. I like that better, because the last thing we need is for him to get injured trying to turn a 4 yard run into a 7 yard run like RGIII would do.

He has a running skill set but it's more of a power back, not necessarily a speed back.
