I was thinking about what it would have taken to stop Lawrence and this hypothetical popped into my head. So what do y'all think?
That DLine gave Deshaun Watson a ton of problems, had him running the majority of the night. I don't think Lawrence puts up even half the production against the '16 D that he put up against the defense on Monday night.

Better yet, how would he perform against the 2019 Defense?
The DB's (Surtain, Carter, McKinney) will have a year of starts and experience
There will be experienced OLB's (Lewis and Allen back)
(ILB's... that is a big ?"
But with Davis returning, and Mathis having a good bit of experience along with Ray
The D will (should) be much better except for the ILB's and finding someone to call the fronts and adjustments.
If Thompson returns (odds against it) the D could be even better.
With the relatively easy 1st 5 games, next year the D would be able to really jell and work on shutting O's out and not give up so many points/yards like the 18 D
Also, seems that with the relatively easy start, the team could work on getting ready for CU -v- UA 5
