Mark Ingram won it in 2009 with 1,304 points and second place was Toby Gerhart with 1,276 points. That is a difference of 28 points.

I believe it will be a photo finish at the end with Tua winning it with only a advantage of 10 or less points.

It will be close but I think Murray pulls it out. The award very often comes down to what a guy has done lately. Outside of the Auburn game Tua had some of his worst performances of the season down the stretch. I know he was injured and the defenses were pretty dang good, but I think Murray started making up ground a month ago and overtook him last weekend.

I heard on radio this morn that since 10% of votes were cast earlier in the season, and most of those likely went to Tua, he went into the final stretch with a solid lead and could potentially be enough to keep him there.

It is going to be very close. But Murray will win.

It'll be one of the closest ever. I think Tua lost it last week.

I believe it comes down to a coin flip to me that it’s so so close

The one thing that may help Tua is Haskins. People in B10 country will be voting for Haskins. If they think Murray is leading you will see more Tua 2nd place votes.

I think in the end it will come down to who gets the most 2nd place votes to be honest

Murray just won AP Player of the Year over Tua. Beat him by 56 votes. Most of the time the winner of that wins th Heisman

The ap had Murray with 39 to 13 first place votes...doesn't make the Heisman sound close

39 of 56 votes. Lmao. Shows people don’t take into consideration competition. All they care about is stats and lookin Good. no matter who it’s against. Dude had his heisman moment against a Texas team who is outside the top 60 in defense

Yep. People also have very short memories and I think this past Saturday weighs heavy on their votes.

Probably not that close. Almost everyone I’ve seen or heard on tv and radio have pretty much without outright saying that picked Kyler. Those guys are fickle and it may end up pretty clear cut.

As had as I hate to say it, I think Murray wins. Both are fantastic football players but statistically, Murray had the better season.
